Just to add some more information (even though the thread is closed) this process is known as "spidering" or "web crawling", and since I can't be bothered explaining lets use the definition from The Free Dictionary Also known as a "Web crawler," "spider," "ant," "robot" (bot) and "intelligent agent," a crawler is a program that searches for information on the Web.
