Kahgarak Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Pieces needed: Cutlass sword. Antenna. Round brick 1x1 ----------------- ----NO PIC---- ----------------- Plate 1x1 with clip on top. BUILDING Attach the antenna to the 1x1 round brick.Put the plate with clip on top and attach the cutlass sword to that. If anyone could post a picture of the eventual scythe here for others to see,i'd be more than thankful!I'd be very thankful! Quote
jonfett Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Here is a pic of the complete scythe, I chose to do the handle in black as I thought it looked better than all grey. I had to add a blue technic pin to attach the antenna to the round brick. And here are some simple instructions.. This is a fairly simple scythe but it looks good, you just need to hide the blue pin or use a different colour and it will look much better. Hope this is ok for you Kahgarak :) Jon. Quote
Khorne Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I think it would look better with a katana instead of a cutlass. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I believe the 1x1 round brick should be positioned at the other end. It comes out smaller and more proportionate. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 21, 2005 Governor Posted November 21, 2005 If all the pieces were brown besides the cutless (which looks more like a sabre), how would it look then? Quote
KMOI Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Not bad at all. I just created one fro the template provided and it's quite good. Mine is all black though, except for the sword and the technic pin. Those parts are grey, but it does look great. Pity they don't have these in the Harry Potter Graveyard duel though. It's look awesome if it was. :oD Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I had to try it, not bad at all. Thanks for sharing the idea. Quote
ApophisV Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Nice idea! This morning I was playing around with some small parts and tried to find other techniques to build a more sleek scythe and I really found some (involving minifig hands, lightsaber hilts, technic pieces and much more...)! Have to wait for the camera to shoot them within the next days, the plan for the first version is attached ;) Quote

This scythe does not use a technic pin-you put the point of the antenna inside the hollow round brick. Still good variation though! The one with the Lightsaber blade is good too. Quote

Maybe, but it would look a little awkward without the pin, but looking great! I especially love the one with the lightsaber hilt *wub* Quote
