SNIPE Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) Hi, This new forum platform is working fine, however there is one thing I would like (and another small thing) I would like to see an extra edit button at the bottom of each post (including replies) because scrolling up can be a pain sometimes when its a long post, on mobile, or if I'm trying to edit a post and still glance at another reply for reference. The edit button can be next to the quote button I guess, no need for another '...' button there. The other small thing is for it to jump to the exact reply if someone replies to a thread. It shows the notification and pop up msgbox fine, but clicking the msgbox only refreshes the post, instead of going to the actual new reply. Hope other people find this useful! aFrInaTi0n Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Making it distinct buttons may get hard - an idea I may have: would it be sufficient enough for cloning the 3-dots button into the bottrom row (where Multiquote and Quote are shown)? If you go to the bottom of the page and open the dropdown for the Themes -> "Copy of 🟦 Eurobricks 2025 default Theme (blue) [+DarkMode]" has the change.. just as the fastest possible solution as a dumb PoC.. May be nice if others can hand their opinions for it being considered confusing or helpful. Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Edit: Ok, the quick PoC failed as the mobile version is moving both together... I may give an update if I found the right solution.. :D Quote

aFrInaTi0n Posted June 30 Posted June 30 @SNIPE I reworked it to have it in the way you described it in your request (was more easy than implementing the 3-dot menu..): In the copied theme there is now a textual "Edit" showing in the bottom. Please test if that is sufficient. If it fits you, I would bring it up to the staff and ask for their approval. For the other topic of the notification not bringing you to the latest post: Which browser (and OS) are you using? I just tested from Chrome/Windows one of the notifications and it brought me to the latest post. I was just able to test the other type of bottom-toast-notification within the site, it also brought me to the latest post of another topic. (using Chrome). Quote
SNIPE Posted June 30 Author Posted June 30 hi, I can't see the edit button at the bottom yet, I tried on firefox nightly in mobile and desktop view. I use Firefox on Win11 too, I'll trst it again later Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I doublechecked, the theme shall be available in the Footer selection. It is called "Copy of 🟦 Eurobricks 2025 default Theme (blue) [+DarkMode]" -> if you select that one, the additional "Edit" shall pop up.. Quote
SNIPE Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 I see it now, cool It works, but I have to select the theme every time I use euro bricks, my cookies are not saving my theme choice idk if they were meant to or not Regards, Snipe Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted July 8 Posted July 8 It comes from global settings - I brought the topic up to the staff - if there aren't any obligations, I would implement it into the real themes over the next days. Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted July 8 Posted July 8 The "Edit" shall now show up in all the themes and may be tested. Quote

aFrInaTi0n Posted Saturday at 08:15 AM Posted Saturday at 08:15 AM I got told by Jim that the button may have been there already in the past - so this may have been a miss on my side since we did the major version upgrades & needed to start from fresh Theme-Templates. So I am glad we brought it into a better state, thanks for the Request! ♥ Could you re-test the "jump to latest post" or have more details for your client-side configuration (browser / OS)? Quote
JesseNight Posted Saturday at 12:46 PM Posted Saturday at 12:46 PM (edited) This is very convenient since I catch myself making and correcting typos all the time Edited Saturday at 12:46 PM by JesseNight Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted Saturday at 12:58 PM Posted Saturday at 12:58 PM I can only agree - it helps me also a lot, as I am creating so many typos lately... :D Quote
JesseNight Posted Saturday at 07:58 PM Posted Saturday at 07:58 PM Don't be afraid to share them, the Edit button is within reach now! Quote
