Kamil Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Hi, I need to use Lego Technic Powered Up motors in a tight space. Is it possible to connect two Technic large motors to the 88009 train hub battery box from ports A and B, and drive these motors by using 88010 remote control unit, without further programming? (one motor for steering, second motor for driving). Thanks Edited May 18 by Kamil Quote

Berthil Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) There is also Pybricks, which also has use cases for what you want. With Pybricks you can use the remote without a device, no phone needed. All info and coding examples on Pybricks.com Edited May 18 by Berthil Quote
dr_spock Posted May 20 Posted May 20 You can also use the 88010 remote with the PoweredUP! App. Have the PU App read the input from the remote and process the output accordingly to the train hub with the motors. Or make an adapter to fool the PU train hub that a PU train motor is connected. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted May 20 Posted May 20 You cannot do what you want natively, but if you install the Pybricks firmware onto the Hub, you can write a small script that connects to the remote, processes the inputs, and drives the motors how you want. Quote
Kamil Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 Thank you all for your comments. I might need time for programming beyond plug-and-play, as I'm quite unfamiliar with those topics (like setting up the devices, block programming, etc.) at the moment. However, there's a lot of useful information under this heading, and it seems every possible scenario has been covered. I'll try to choose the most suitable one. Thanks again. Quote
