My son likes driving his LEGO trains a lot, but now both of his PoweredUp and his PowerFunctions train motors broken down, all in the same way. One of the orange axis holders is not powered anymore, it still moves when you let the motor run freely in the air but it can be stopped super easy by e.g. holding a hand against the wheel. I filed the PU motors as broken but they are out of stock at the moment so I wanten to repair them myself. I have a few questions, I couldn't find the answers easily on the internet:

1. What size of torx screw drivers do I need to open the motors? It's quite a small size for torx so my local hardware store doesn't have them so I have to order them.

2. Is this a known issue, and can it be fixed easily? I'm hoping that just one of the gears inside is loose and it just needs to be placed correctly. But if a gear really has worn out it's going to be much more complicated.
