glucklegobatman Posted February 5 Posted February 5 That new garbage monster head mold would be perfect for a minifig scaled clayface Quote
calebcold3 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I'm starting to think that IF we any other sets for the year, it will just be only one set and, that one set will be a D2C that will be released in like the Fall. And I feel like the D2C would be the Battinson-Mobile with a reuse of the 2026 Battinson Minifigure (but with a rubber cape) and Alfred (using reused pieces) I just.. don't see us getting any other retail sets for the rest of the year, which is unfortunate, as I was thinking we'd get a set or two during the summer, but I feel like we would've found out by now if we were. I’m guessing there be no sets for the supergirl movie then :/ Quote

Lol I realized this the moment after I posted this. I think I didn't realize because it was the first time I saw it in an opaque color. I did a quick photoshop to see it in a color that is closer to clayface, and now I'm bummed we haven't gotten him yet. Spoiler Edited February 8 by glucklegobatman Fixed photo Quote

I think the same could be said for literally any other theme, there’s so much wasted potential. I wonder what made them stick to just Batman? Quote

Batman: stonks 📈 Anyone else: not stonks 📉 The true answer is probably a bit more complicated, but this is what it boils down to. The DCEU killed movie tie-in sets, which in turn meant fewer new DC characters getting exposed to kids, reducing their chances of being featured in sets, leaving the only DC character everyone and their granny recognises as such, Batman. And they likely stopped adding other DC characters to Batman sets because they don’t impact sales, meaning they can save money if a Batmobile with and without [insert non-Batman character] sells about the same. Granted, this is all speculation, but I’d say it tracks. Orrrrrrrr, TLG actually hate DC and its fans with a passion and put together a diabolical plan together with their evil Didney overlords to destroy DC forever Edited February 9 by BrickBob Studpants Quote

hvader Posted February 10 Posted February 10 It’s insane that every single set this year (besides the logo) is a Batmobile??? At least last year we had Superman mech Quote

psqidexslizer Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Man, this has to be the most pathetic 20th anniversary wave Lego has ever produced for a theme. Quote

Yeah, this cannot be denied. I’m glad they acknowledge it at all and the the four March sets are really well-designed, but it pales in comparison to every other anniversary out there SW 20th got a wave of throwback sets and reprints of classic minifigs, SW 25th featured long-requested minifigs, HP 20th had multiple golden minifigs and chocolate frog cards, HP 25th has multiple patroni and an 18+ set, and Ninjago 10th and 15th have golden minifigs and new characters respectively. DC 20th on the other hand just gets a golden tile in each set plus a golden Batman Could be worse though! Marvel got nothing in 2022 Quote

It has a remote control feature that won’t work all that well. But it’s not like you can just buy an RC Tumbler at a fraction of the cost and without the worry of it falling apart if you wanted to actually do something like race it or drive it outside. Quote

Superman was the highest grossing movie between DC and Marvel last year also the tease for the expansion packs for the game with the 3 different Batmobiles would of , could still make it. shame on Lego! In Lego’s defense, sets are designed over a year in advance, so the success of Superman over Fantastic Four wasn’t known when the set was designed. And actually, projections had Fantastic Four doing better up until the film actually hit theaters so Lego would have been justified in assuming that film would do better. If we do see anything from the success of Superman, it won’t be until next year. But given the Superman mech retired after only one year, I really don’t have high hopes. Now that you brought it up, a buildable Krypto with a Superman figure seems like a no-brainer. Edited February 12 by psqidexslizer Quote

FYI, the mechs have a shelf life of 1 year it goes for Marvel as well. the fact there is no Modular yet and they had to get a set under another sub theme ( technic) bedazzles me. maybe they do another tin set megazine for Supergirl. PastaChef Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Aside from the Arkham D2C does anyone know the last time we actually got a dc play set? Quote
