Yoggington Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Is there a way to turn this pop-up off permanently? Clicking the 'No thanks' just snoozes it until the next time it decides to ask. I've had a dig around in settings and I can find how to enable them, but no way to have it stop asking. Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Sorry to come with some very generic idea: But have you tried deleting the cookies for the site? Sometimes this helps for such weird things. Though I do can not recall any ways for us configuring this behavior in detail, I can tell already unfortunately. Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I've only denied push notifications once and that did the trick for me. Are you using a VPN or private mode by any chance? That would lead the sight to ask you each time. Quote
Yoggington Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 Occasionally have a VPN on, but not typically. I'll have a poke about with cache & cookies. Knowing it's not the same for everyone is good info, thanks! Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted May 28 Posted May 28 @Yoggington just for me being able to have more information at hand for future reports from other people: Did it help the situation of yours to delete the cookies? best regards. Quote
Yoggington Posted May 29 Author Posted May 29 I only finally did this yesterday when I saw your note. I'll let you know in a week or so if it returns. Quote
Yoggington Posted Monday at 12:46 PM Author Posted Monday at 12:46 PM Well, since clearing out the cache and cookies, I've had this re-occur three times. I did not mention in the initial post, but whenever it occurs, it's alongside a regular notification (e.g. "someone quoted you"). Not all notifications come with the message, but the message always comes beside a notification. Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted Monday at 04:45 PM Posted Monday at 04:45 PM I hope I disclose not too many details, but do I see it correctly from the logs you are using Firefox on a Mac and an Smartphone? My issue is, I am using Chrome and Windows.. Do we have any Firefox users (ideally on Mac or mobile) having similar issues? Quote
JesseNight Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago If it's of any help, I'm using Firefox on Windows 10 and I'm not having this problem. Ironically I've had this issue in the past when I was still using Chrome. Think that's been well over a year ago though. Quote
