When I tried to go to Bricklink yesterday with Chrome I got the message below. I deleted the cookies and it worked after that. It worked fine on Edge all the time yesterday. Today I have the same problem with both Edge and Chrome. I can access Bricklink with Chrome in incognito mode. This is super weird. On Edge I use no ad blocker and on Chrome I use Ad Block but I also tried pausing it but that didn't work either. Since I have the same problem with different browsers the problem must be on their end. I have no problem accessing Lego.com on either browser.

This page isn’t working

www.bricklink.com redirected you too many times.

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Just to clarify I have no problems logging in but the problem is accessing the website.

For me it works again. I however do have other Safari + Bricklink issues (e.g. while checking which sets a part it in). Sometimes it is also a caching / cookie issue.

Yes, it was gone earlier this morning. The error is usually a sign of the actual server(s) not responding, but the gateway being functional. Perhaps someone just nicked a cable or something needed a reboot...

I am not into the details of their techstack, but maybe some CDN issue (Content Delivery Network, like CloudFlare offers as a service in front of one's homepage to take away the load) - if such have an issue, it may occur to users in such ways - or they worked on some redirect rules which were resulting in endless loops of redirects.. but regulary it is an issue of the site, not on the user end.

I wonder if they migrated everything to the main LEGO server as I had issues accessing the main LEGO.com. Probably too many people doing Black Friday shopping.

Now it is working perfectly

I also thought about that but I could access lego.com all the time I had the Bricklink problems

I and another family member had issues with Bricklink yesterday. I couldn't log into mine after being suddenly logged out, and neither could my brother into his account after it happened to him too a few hours later. i was stuck in a log-in loop several times, before I decided to wait until the afternoon to try again. When I tried 5 hours after the initial trouble, I finally got back into my account. I believe my brother had the same issue and solution.

It can't be coincidental that the outage overlapped with the announcement that they'll stop operating in half the world, can it?

I just now found out about that. I think that it is a very stupid decision. Maybe users from the affected countries can use Brickowl instead? Personally I prefer Bricklink and mainly buy from within the EU (about 85% with 15% from the UK, US, Canada and Australia) so it won't affect me but I feel sorry for people from other countries that can't use Bricklink soon. This could give Brickowl a chance to grow. I compared the availability of 6990 Futuron Monorail on both websites, BL has 60 sets for sale while BO only has 11 sets for sale. Only one of the sets on BL were from the soon to be banned countries (Indonesia) while BO had zero sets from the soon to be banned countries. This is of course only one set and cannot represent all sales but maybe low sales and participation it is one of the reasons Bricklink is being discontinued in those countries? Ebay is of course also a good alternative.

It's a huge shame and feels like, despite whatever financial reason they provide, another attempt to even further ratify lego as a premium product for the global north but that's a discussion for another day. I'm sure people will migrate to BrickOwl, but this really throws a wrench into the global LEGO community - why ruin a perfectly good thing by buying it out and gutting it if not to satisfy ulterior motives? I can't help but be pessimistic about the BL buyout between the removal of non-official parts and the locking out of half the world; just LEGO making sure they get a cut of the aftermarket pie. LEGO is nothing without the rest of the world, and Americans (and I am one) seem to have lost all creativity that doesn't relate to media franchises. This of course doesn't stop MOCers in the targeted countries (where LEGO is in many cases already prohibitively expensive) from building or acquiring parts in other ways, but it feels like a deliberate F U to many of the most creative and talented LEGO builders out there, and, though I hope not, seems indicative of an even darker shift in their corporate philosophy.
