I never really liked Adventurers' Orient Expedition set 7424 - Black Cruiser. It's just too small and doesn't look like something the nefarious Lord Sam Sinister would drive... so I made my own! Unlike the original set, it seats two people using the Adventurers cockpit piece. I also vastly increased the part count from the dinky 24 parts of the original set.

Full disclosure - The person this design was slightly inspired by is one of an Adventurers car by @The Reader, and you can view his MOC here.

Now and then I see one of these old Bentleys puttering around and they always turn one's head. Nice build - although I'd recommend blacking out the front grille (including the 1x2 bracket plate), or perhaps instead using the chrome grille tiles.

Thanks @jimmynick! I put the gray in the grille and just behind it for contrast - I didn't want to lose what details I had in an totally-black car, so I sprinkled in the light gray to make those areas pop. Though thank you for the suggestion!

@Murdoch17Wow, that looks really cool. I like the dark and blocky, yet streamlined look. Those mudguards fit perfectly to give a somewhat aggressive apperance. Very well done!

As black hides many details - may I ask what‘s the base of the car? A 2 by x or a 4 by x plate?

The minifig is awesome, too. :pir-triumph:

N.B. Isn‘t there a „s“ missing in the thread title after „Sinister‘“?

Good choice for elements. The angles give it a villainous look without being too over the top. I particularly like the mudguards and the 2x4 slope for the hood.

On a sidenote, the Adventurers cockpit is possibly my favourite Lego piece and was last used in 2021. There's a very real possibility TLG will retire the mold next year

Thanks @The Reader! The base under the cockpit part uses a 4x6 and 1x6 plate, put next to each other to make a 5x6 plate - I hope this info helps you! Also, that fig has been around for over a decade - 2014 was when I made him! (yes, there is an S missing, but spellcheck was saying it wasn't a word with it in there and something looked off, so I removed it)

Thank you @Autumn ! I also really love the car cockpit part - I hope it doesn't get retired! (we've already lost Johnny's hat - we can't afford to lose anything more!)

Thanks! But is there a 2x10 or 2x12 plate running beneath from the front to the rear?

I think I don't have those spoked wheels in black yet. Have to get some from BL.

There is a 2x12 at the very bottom @The Reader. Sorry I didn't understand your question before.

@Murdoch17, an amazing upgrade to one of my favorite childhood themes! I was really hoping the new Johnny Thunder in the recent City Explorers theme was a backdoor to a full revival of the Adventurers theme, but alas!

Thanks @6180HydroSearchSub! I also was hoping for an full Adventurers revival, but was disappointed by the lack of villains.
