Only if you are using an existing MOC to enter the contest. 13 minutes ago, Liftarmpro said: Thanks for the answer. Welcome to EB btw Quote

Nazgarot Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 (edited) Would it be ok to take a former failed project, and rework it into a tracked vehicle, or does it need to be a fresh concept/idea? The whole structure would be remade and both propulsion and scale would have to be changed, but a few mechanical ideas would be reused... Basically it would be a completely new vehicle based on a former failed design. If this is not clear I also have a second idea, but not sure I got the time. ED Edited July 11, 2025 by Nazgarot Quote
Jim Posted July 12, 2025 Author Posted July 12, 2025 Reusing some parts is something that probably happens more often. As long as it’s not an exact copy of an existing model, you’ll be fine. I will let the members be the judge of that. Quote

A WIP tread should be up within a few days. Hopefully I can have it finished before the end om July :) Quote
Jim Posted July 30, 2025 Author Posted July 30, 2025 We had a bit of an extension. We will be closing the entry topic in a bit and start the voting. Quote
Milan Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Entry topic has been closed. I will prepare a voting topic shortly. Quote
Milan Posted August 2, 2025 Posted August 2, 2025 Voting has started: Good luck! NOTE: As previously agreed by the forum, it is now mandatory for participating members to allocate 13 points to their own entry and place it at the top of the list when voting. Quote
Jim Posted August 2, 2025 Author Posted August 2, 2025 Thanks @Milan Good luck with voting. I found it quite difficult to vote. Quote

It has been a while since I took a part in a contest, yet I cannot recall seeing a discussion about such matter. As I would like to understand this (at least for me) new voting rule, I have tried searching the forum as well as manually scrolling through some pages. Could someone please explain it a bit more / tell me which thread should I focus on a little more next time? Quote

You don't need to pay extra attention. Every contestant of the contest can give his/her own creation maximum points, instead of not allowing to vote for oneself. In that case it would be better not to vote at all. Of course contestants can still strategically give "lesser" entries more points, but we cannot avoid that. In the end the best entries usually win anyway. Quote
