Romanos Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) After I finished version 2 a few years ago, I saved up the time and money to start on V3 of my Port Royal. I expanded the pirate area with new display cases. So I started demolishing the old buildings and expanding. New extension of the exhibition space and the old port. I haven't transferred the new buildings to the showroom yet. A lot of greenery has been added, I've paid more attention to the details on the buildings and changed the roofs. I still have a lot of work left to do on the details, and then the port is finished. And then I'm moving on to the fortress. The plan is to expand it to 3 32 x32 and raise the height of the walls a lot ;) New buildings ;) Edited March 19 by Romanos Quote
SpacePolice89 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 This is very beautiful! I like how your builds are very detailed yet keeping that true Lego look. I use the same background poster as you have behind the ships for my Pirates display. Quote
eric_son_of_joseph Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Beautiful. If you ever decide to loan this display to your library, a lot of people will surely enjoy looking at it. Quote

I first looked at something from LEGO, but when I saw this one I immediately fell in love with the background ;) Can you show me a picture of what it looks like on your wall? 13 hours ago, eric_son_of_joseph said: Beautiful. I am a member of LUG Kockice Croatia, so we constantly exhibit our creations in various cities. We have a big exhibition in Zagreb with some 20,000 in 2 days. And I constantly exhibit in the window of the company where I work, so that everyone who passes by can see the creations. It's best when they notice LEGO in the window and the expressions on the faces of children and adults. Quote

I have used it in smaller sections for my displays. I also really like it. I bought mine from a French Ebay store. I'll use more of it when I add new displays. Quote
Romanos Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 The background really elevates the MOC.It fits great in your closet. Nice diplay. Quote

I wanted to display some of my favorite sets in a special way and at the same time keep dust away. I got inspired after seeing the Eldorado Fortress displayed at Lego House. Quote

Romanos Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 After I renovated the old buildings in the port, it was time for the fort. The old walls and tower were demolished. I expanded from 2 32x32 to 5 32 x32. I built rocks and walls so that when I put the ship next to the walls, the fort would finally be bigger. There is still a lot of work to do on the details and I need to connect the port and the fort. There will also be a lot of work on the fort's grounds where I need to build new buildings, barracks, and a horse stable. old fort New fort ;) Quote
Romanos Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 I finally finished the entrance to the fort and added the greenery. I put the fort together and put the ship next to it to get a better idea of how big the fort is now. The old one was not even up to the deck of the ship ;) Now to arrange the interior, add barracks, armory, stables and prison. Quote
bingowaldorf Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Great work! I love how the aged walls of the fort look. Quote

For 2 years, I have been slowly acquiring bricks so that I can add as many details as possible, so that everything is not flat and white. It can be done better, but such a large fortress would be too much work. I finally made the inner courtyard. I used the old commander's building and made a new armory, prison, barracks and stable. Now I have to add a lot of details and make the entrance gate. Quote
Franco Clarke Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Echoing previous comments, the weather beaten looking of this build is really commendable, and the tiled roofs blend well into the classic colour palette. I might suggest offsetting the thatching parts so they don't align vertically, would probably look more natural. Are there any interiors? Quote
