LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Hello, as already revealed in the post "Abandoned Railway" by @XG BC today I want to introduce you to this small diesel shunting locomotive, it's a Belgian locomotive restored from rust and affectionately named by me "Little Boy" given its small size. New spare parts, some WD40, sandblasting and repainting of rusty parts, new crankcases and panels and here is the finished job The locomotive has "gray era" style wheels with holes for standard Lego axles. The wheels are 3D printed by @Paperinik77pk and kindly given to me. The "Little Boy" is powered by a Circuit Cube and a single motor. Equipped with independently operable lights, the locomotive is accompanied by a small convoy. The carriages are a replica of models found on the web, small wagons but with an incredible level of detail and worthy of attention ... I particularly like the carriage with the tank. I also wanted to share with you a short video of this model in action ...see you next month! Edited February 16 by LEGO Train 12 Volts Quote
idlemarvel Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Lovely little loco and wagons as well. I particularly like the low sided wagon with the tarpaulin cover. It's a pity Lego don't make a wheel with hole for coupling rods for more modern motors, although I know they are available from other parties. Quote
XG BC Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) lovely! very cute .@LEGO Train 12 Volts Edited February 16 by XG BC Quote

Toastie Posted February 16 Posted February 16 As other have said: Cute and lovely - but also accurate and very nicely done! Oh yes, WD40 ... the magic stuff. Well, what to expect from a product manufactured by the Rocket Chemical Company ... These Circuit Cubes are so nice, aren't they - did you use the Cubit motor cube from them as well? Congratulations on another fantastic creation, Emanuele! All the best Thorsten Quote

Congratulations on another fantastic creation, Emanuele! Thanks @Toastie for your always welcome compliments. Cicruit Cube is brilliant: bluetooth and battery integrated in a single element with small dimensions, very small motor but with excellent torque If there was the option to add larger batteries it would be for me the definitive product even for standard locomotives! 2 hours ago, Shiva said: Nice restoration :) Lol! Thank you @Shiva Quote
zephyr1934 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Very nice! And the streamlining on the nose with the rounded corners is the touch of flash the little critter needs! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Quite the cute little shunter. Nice to see the real model as well. The motorization really makes it impressive. Quote
Ts__ Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Cute, but the curved bricks at the front are too much for me. The real one don´t have a curve at the front panel and at the side only a small. Maybe the normal cheese slope is better.... Thomas Quote

Thomas You're right @Ts__ but the temptation to use those rounded parts was too strong and now I'm fond of this detail Quote
Man with a hat Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Oh, that's a nice cute little one. I see you made the nose even more rounded than the original, but that only adds to its cuteness. Quote
