BrickBob Studpants Posted May 8 Posted May 8 The Luxo Jr Ideas set has leaked! I like it quite a bit, even though I wish they added some minifigs! Still a neat model. Quote
Aramar Posted May 8 Posted May 8 The lamp looks great, but I'll skip it for not having minings. I need to do some savings haha Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Cruella‘s car looks awesome! No Jasper or Horace, but that was to be expected ^^ Quote
OttoRiver Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Glad its minifigure scaled but slightly disappointed in the $50 price tag and only 1 Dalmatian. Would have liked 3 at least. Quote
Jarreth2 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I really like Cruella's car, wonder if they'll give her the manic / crazy face on the reverse ?? 😳 Quote
hikouki Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Great build for the car. That price could have been justified if they packed it with more minifigs and dogs. Quote
JeanGreyForever Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I like it but I agree that it's overpriced. Glad we're getting a new dalmatian with Penny. Quote
icm Posted June 1 Posted June 1 It's a big car, but it's just Batmobile-sized and we need more civilian cars in that size class to coexist with them. Since this is a villain's ride from a dark and scary piece of children's animation with an Art Deco style, it will go particularly well with the Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile from last year. I hope I can get this for half price without the minifigs, or on a good sale - I can think of several Batman villains who would love to have a sweet ride like this. Really looking forward to better pictures of the front-wheel steering, too! Quote
Jarreth2 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Wonder if this set will be the fist in a Disney Villains theme ? Quote

Yeah the 'real' one that leaked and not the 'Friends" version 🙄 Was also thinking they could do an Ursula's Lair with the cauldron and the garden etc, the Evil Queen could have the magic mirror, but with all the surrounding architecture and a throne. Captain Hook's would probably have to be the Jolly Roger ship. There'd be plenty to chose from. Quote

I feel like the Jolly Roger would be a good candidate for the "large all-in-one" sets they seem to be doing with the Dwarf Cottage and Beast's Castle. Skull Rock would make for a nice, smaller build for Hook. Also a Hades set that comes with 2 Titans would be a dream come true. Quote
JeanGreyForever Posted June 2 Posted June 2 The Jolly Roger would make a good future D2C set. Lego seems to like revisiting the Peter Pan property anyway. But I imagine it would conflict with the POTC Black Pearl set. Quote

Sleeping Beauty is the only (major) princess without her prince. If Lego were smart, they would make this black dragon... guess what, there is much hype over at the castles forum because of the new Griffins, Krakens, Horse, and Snake factions. Further, there is speculation about an upcoming dark/ black castle D2C. Imagine all the Castles fans flocking to buy a black dragon for their castles!!! 16 hours ago, OttoRiver said: I feel like the Jolly Roger would be a good candidate for the "large all-in-one" sets they seem to be doing with the Dwarf Cottage and Beast's Castle. Aramar Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I wouldn't be surprised if they reuse Gaston, Lefou and even Maurice and make the tavern. Quote

JeanGreyForever Posted June 2 Posted June 2 It could be the Disney equivalent of Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. The full village with Maurice's cottage, the fountain where Belle reads to the sheep, Gaston's tavern, the bookshop, and maybe a bakery as well. Maurice's invention would also fit in. Minifigures could include Belle, Maurice, Gaston, LeFou, the baker, the bookseller, and the three bimbettes. Along with Philippe the horse, some sheep, and maybe some farm animals for Maurice's cottage like pigs and chickens. Quote
hikouki Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Looking at the Villains set, it has the Evil Witch, Maleficent, Evil Genie, and Gaston. The Evil Witch was reused in the Snow White cottage. Gaston was reused in the BATB castle. Maleficent would have probably been used as well in that canceled dragon set. So that just leaves us with Genie Jaafar!!! Someone predicted some months ago that the next big Disney set is probably going to be either from Aladdin or Encanto!!! Quote
OttoRiver Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I know big castles for D2C sets is a bit obvious and overdone, but Agrabah is such a unique design I wouldn't mind it. Would be cool if you could flip the throne room between Jafar and the Sultan's colors almost like the 2004 Knights Kingdom castle. Quote
JeanGreyForever Posted June 3 Posted June 3 The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast both got D2C castle sets so it's quite plausible that the next one would be Aladdin-themed. Aladdin and Jasmine are both due for new minifigures anyway since we haven't gotten any since 2019. Lego seems to like keeping their most popular Disney characters in constant circulation like Peter Pan, Stitch, Woody, etc. 6 hours ago, OttoRiver said: I know big castles for D2C sets is a bit obvious and overdone, but Agrabah is such a unique design I wouldn't mind it. Getting to switch between the Sultan's elephant throne and Jafar's cobra throne would be fun. Quote
hikouki Posted June 4 Posted June 4 If indeed they're doing Aladdin, Lego needs to catch up making some animal characters like Abu, Iago, and Rajah. The only other much-wanted human character they have not made is the Sultan. Quote
