tron feels impossible but a boy can dream

Tron Ares would have been a good opportunity for some Tron sets. Maybe a CMF series could give us the classic Tron in minifigure form.

Buildable Pooh leaked/revealed. Comes with new Winnie minifig print (napkin on neck) and Eeyore.

Buildables aren’t my thing but it looks to be a nice build and expect many to love it (minus the price). 9x9 inches

side note: there appears to be a small Easter egg in the set showing the crew as minifigs including Christopher Robin, so fingers crossed he pops up in the other set rumored to be coming  ——scratch that, pictures of Piglet’s birthday fun are out too, another buildable

They're cute sets although I wouldn't pick them up personally. The new Pooh minifigure doesn't really interest me. They're a nice way for people who missed the original set to pick up the minifigures.

Hope we can get a Christopher Robin minifigure one day. Both sets depict Tigger and Rabbit which make me wonder if they'll come up with more buildable sets to feature one or both of them in minifigure form. Tigger, particularly, is super popular and I can't imagine Lego would miss out on a chance to include him somewhere.

The buildable Winnie the Pooh looks better than I thought it would. Managed to really get the roundness of him down. And Piglet isn't quite what I was thinking from the initial brief at all but is a cute set for $40. May pick these up later depending on what else comes out this year.

Starting to think Lilo and Stitch's Beach Party may just be a buildable Stitch with a minifigure Lilo given the similar naming to Piglet. Crossing my fingers that unrevealed 18+ is a minifigure set otherwise it doesn't look like there is much in the ways of minifigures for this year.

Just noticed the special 100 years on both of the box images for Pooh. Not sure if this is all they have planned for that event or more coming down the pipeline later in the year.

The Pooh buildable fig looks nice, but the Piglet one? Am I the only one who finds it kind of hilarious how little the buildable figure resembles the minifig of the same character that's also included in the set?

I guess they couldn't have afforded striped prints for the torso pieces. And I guess they couldn't have figured out a better way to do the ears at that scale. But I still don't think the build looks all that good overall.

Pooh looks great, Piglet… eh :snicker: Nice to see the minifigs return, but Christopher Robin would’ve been a welcome addition!

Also, there’s only thing that comes to my mind when looking at the piglet figure: FIRMLY GRASP IT!!

Good to see the minifigures back for those who missed the original Pooh set. I'll skip these buildable sets because I already have the old figures, which look better to be honest (without the napkin and with the scarf).

I can't wait to see what the 18+ set is, since it seems the only chance to get new characters in minifigure form.

I'm dying. :roflmao:

Despite Piglet's skinny proportions though, I do think this is the one theme where the buildables look closer to the characters than the minifigures. Piglet's minifigure always looked too chunky to me, whilst oppositely Pooh doesn't look wide enough around the middle in minifigure form.

The Monsters Inc BrickHeadz set has been revealed! Mike looks hilarious :laugh_hard:

He's dumbfounded by how much Boo has grown. They grow up so fast these days she's overtaken him.

I'm wondering if the minifigure-scale sets don't sell as well. Lego keeps making buildable characters as sets, between Mickey and Minnie, Simba, Stitch, Angel, Patch, Lucky, Penny, and now Pooh and Piglet. So there's clearly a market for these types of sets if Lego keeps doubling down on them.

When the original Winnie the Pooh set came out, Lego designers said they wanted to make more Pooh sets like Tigger's treehouse or Piglet's house. But we never got any more sets like that so I wonder if sales were soft.

Buildable figures are a trend across pretty much all themes. Even Star Wars has had a few (that awful Chewbacca, R2D2, and at least two versions of Grogu come to mind), Marvel has had like a bazillion versions of Groot, and HP keeps cutting back on playsets in order to swamp us with buildable Hedwigs (at least six versions I can think of immediately), Fawkes', Dobbys, that poorly designed patronus from a while back, and this year's demonic-looking pixie.

Not to mention Botanicals in all but name i.e. the Mario Piranha plant and the HP Mandrake. As well as the SW helmets, Marvel gauntlets, and IMO truly bizarre concepts like the Disney dresses collection.

I think it's just them trying to appeal to both adults and older teens - target groups who don't need playsets because well, they don't really play with their sets any more, but who are into buying merchandise of their favourite shows.

But yeah, I couldn't say how popular Pooh is with young kids these days. Like Wicked he seems to be more of a thing in America than Europe.

That's true, I've seen buildable figures in almost all the major themes so they clearly sell well. Wouldn't be surprised if we eventually get a buildable Gollum for LOTR.

Winnie the Pooh used to be the most lucrative kids franchise in the 2000s, even above Mickey Mouse. But once Bob Iger got control of Disney, they basically stopped making more Pooh movies, shows, merch, etc. so I think his popularity has faded as a result of Disney mostly ignoring him. I don't know about Europe but Pooh must still be popular in the UK considering that's his home country. I know he's mega-popular in Japan. And despite what propagandists say, he's actually really popular in China too.

As of December 2025, the Winnie the Pooh Ip has grossed over 76 billion, more than the Mickey & Friends $74 billion. I'm not sure how that all plays out, the data doesn't breakdown the revenues by year so its possible that Winnie the Pooh has been on decline but the fact it sits among the most well known and profitable is something you would think Disney would jump on. The original Ideas set seemed to go on back order a lot when it dropped so not sure if long term didn't show as much promise.

I also feel like Wicked is an odd example in that it started as a minidoll line and added minifigure sets in the next wave. Was it always planned or did they see demand for minifigure sets and add the minifigures in response? But if that's the case, seems a pretty big change for a line that would only last one more wave while Disney is ongoing and the demand for minifigures has stayed consistent. Would reallly love to be a fly on the wall for these Disney x Lego meetings to know the details of what gets made and what doesn't.

My only other thought is that the big, expensive 18+ sets like Snow White and Beauty and the Beast sell well enough to justify the costs while the smaller sets like Lilo and Sitch house and Cruella's car don't.

Don't the minifig sets appeal to an 'older' audience in general? I think perhaps the movie reached a critical mass in popularity that Lego felt fitting to make a set aimed towards that market. I was late to find out about them on release (about two weeks or so), and by the time I checked on the web site, I think at least one of the sets was on backorder. They made those sets well in terms of design, and they made them for the right audience. I myself like the original story/ classic movie, but not necessarily a fan of the remake. I do like the new sets however.

Wicked has two minifig sets clearly aimed at adult collectors, and all the playsets have minidolls. We've had Disney sets with minifigs aimed at adult collectors before (43225, Snow White's Cottage, Disneyland themed sets like the train and castle ...).

Looks like there was some mix-up! 43304 and 43306 are both Toy Story sets. The former is a 4+ set called “Toy Story: Wild West” and the latter is the previously rumoured buildable Lotso, but it’s a 9+ set  Now that makes more sense!

I'll add it to the list. There's still way too many buildables this year for my liking and I don't think I'll get my hopes up for 43304. My guess is Jessie and Woody reuse figures.
