The D2C set is indeed a new Helicarrier, one of the upcoming sets is a buildable H.E.R.B.I.E. (either 76345 or 47), and the AC allegedly features Xmas Wolverine, Doom, and Ghost Rider Helicarrier replacing this year's modular makes sense, it's unfortunate we lose out on something like Oscorp (Kaine, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luna Snow) but it should be an excellent set regardless. Herbie is unfortunate. And this isn't the one the leakers thought was doomsday either. If it gets First Steps branding, we better get some Thunderbolts* sets too. The calendar is interesting as as @NXS7 says, it would imply being the first comic calendar, which in turn implies it'll either mix parts with MCU sets or we'll be getting at least part of a comic-based Doom. 1 hour ago, NXS7 said: IF true, this could mean it's our first comics based advent calendar (ignoring the Spider-Man one), and if it is and sells well, hopefully we could see more of them in the future. I'd like to think the lack of anything worthwhile in the 23/24 calenders is probably why there wasn't a 25 one, but potentially a new comic based Doom after 13 years should boost sales If I'm reading it correctly it's a christmas Doom, which would limit his usability a bit. I would not be surprised if the calendar used the Doomsday head print with a new Doom-mandated day of festivity sweater, but it could also mean a new comic-book doom is coming, which would be AWESOME. I don't think any of the marvel calendars have had more than 3 new prints- last year was two- which implies if all three of those are sweater-wearing as implied, Doom will be re-using a mask. Which means one of three things: 1. It's primarily a comic calendar but includes MCU doom's mask. 2. We're getting a comic-book doom this year 3. Lego just not only confirmed Wolverine for Doomsday but as far as I know would be the first to leak Nicolas Cage's triumphant return. 1 hour ago, psqidexslizer said: No one is watching that in theaters. That Thor trailer seemingly promising a return to form for him's almost got me. I know it's "Remember (Character you liked)? We dug them back up.", but I can feel myself slipping. If we see anything leak about the Thunderbolts being treated with respect and having any real screen time, they might have me. Quote

The original source listed it as "Ghost Rider", "Christmas Wolverine" and "Dr Doom", so I take it's only Wolverine to be wearing an Xmas sweater (which I unironically would love if it was a yellow/blue sweater with an X on it) Ghost Rider will undoubtedly be reusing the recent figure, but maybe instead of a bike he'll get a firey sleigh to ride Quote

The lack of other holiday figures being mentioned would imply we might get more than a sweater, though we don't have the full figure list so perhaps there's a sweater cyclops or magneto alongside him. A sleigh for ghost rider would be a lot of fun. In either case, we're still at the same three options for what Doom's inclusion mean. 1. It's primarily a comic calendar but includes MCU doom. 2. hvader Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM Posted yesterday at 01:44 AM Comic Doom I feel is very likely given that we also got comic & MCU Ultron in the same year. Face print and leg print might be reused but I feel we’ll get a comic torso print just for that Doom Quote
RichardGoring Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM I got the midi-scale Helicarrier for $40 in a Walmart sale before the holidays and I felt it was a decent deal at that price, but not amazing. The original Helicarrier is cool, but it's so large. With the new one being pretty much the same price ten years later, I worry that it will be disappointingly small for some, in comparison with the original, and not great value in comparison with the midi-scale version. It will be interesting to see. Quote
G_Brickley Posted yesterday at 05:19 PM Posted yesterday at 05:19 PM (edited) If it does turn out to be a comic Doom in the advent calendar, is it likely to be featured in any other sets? Have any of the advent calendars ever had exclusive (non-christmas) minifigs? Guesses for where else this Doom could appear: A Thing mech with Doom as the antagonist like the Ultron in the Iron Man mech A comic Fantasticar A mini modular Baxter Building Edited yesterday at 05:20 PM by G_Brickley Quote
psqidexslizer Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM I’d be surprised if they didn’t just stick movie Dr. Doom in with a bunch of comic figures and called it a day. We have gotten new comic and new movie figures of the same character in the same year, but it’s rare. And it typically only happens for really popular characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America. It also never happens with new characters, which doesn’t technically apply to Dr. Doom, but might as well. Plus, Doomsday releases right in the middle of Advent, so I’m sure a movie accurate version of him in a advent calendar would be a selling point. Quote

The Helicarriers have not been doing well around me either- they're piled up at my local walmart (Though still at $52) alongside the Tantive IVs. 1 hour ago, G_Brickley said: If it does turn out to be a comic Doom in the advent calendar, is it likely to be featured in any other sets? It could go either way, but it's important to mention that there's definitely precedent. We got both versions of Ultron last year, and neither of them were even based on new content with the character. We got two new versions of Rhino this year, and he's hardly Doom level. MCU and game versions of Black Widow releasing in the same year. Technically speaking, MCU and comic Mysterio in the same year. Lego certainly isn't averse to having multiple versions of a character on shelves at the same time either- there are too many examples to count. I don't think it means it will happen, but I certainly don't think it's exceedingly unlikely. Quote

thebricksbear Posted yesterday at 11:14 PM Posted yesterday at 11:14 PM Prisoner transport sounds like exactly what we want, a plethora of bad guys, but that price is concerning, knowing Marvel/Lego :( Spidey vs the Hulk sounds boring, but I'm assuming it'll be a "Spiderman city" modular tie in, and hopefully has Punisher or some of the other leaked characters. I'm betting this movie gets some sets next year too, honestly. Glad to have a helicarrier and I hope this one is good. The old one was too small and too expensive IMO Quote
Scarilian Posted yesterday at 11:14 PM Posted yesterday at 11:14 PM (edited) I did not get the previous Helicarrier after considering it for quite a while. I think it had a lot of room for improvement and seemed to use pieces unnecessarily. The turbines for example featuring 16x 15068 each turbine, whereas they could have used 8 x 88930 per turbine instead which overall would have saved 32 pieces while retaining the same visuals. Above anything else with the new Helicarrier my hope is that we have printed pieces rather than relying on stickers and that the model is accurate. I don't think it needs the motor function/lights, but it'd be nice to keep the concept of microfig or a minifigure part of the interior. As for Herbie, I guess they felt that it'd be like 'Baby Yoda' or Groot but I don't think the movie performed as well as Disney wanted and I've personally had no interest in that film so it's an easy pass from me. 3 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: The Helicarriers have not been doing well around me either It was 509 pieces for £69.99/$79.99/€79.99, so it was over-priced, and they had the audacity to have it be ALL STICKERS except for the bland one displaying 'Lego Marvel Helicarrier'. 48 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Looks like we’re getting 3 BND tie-in sets: 76346 Buildable Spider-Man Figure (813 pcs, $99.99) 76349 Prisoner Transport (367 pcs, $39.99) 76350 Spider-Man vs The Hulk at the Office Building ($89.99) The second one has to include the Punisher, right?? calebcold3 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) I think the 2 minifigure scale Brand New Day sets could look great, I can't wait to see what they look like. I also think the Advent Calendar might be the first one I pick up since the GOTG one from 2022. Since it's likely to be comic based (since it would be weird if our first ever Hugh Jackman Wolverine in LEGO was a Advent Calendar Sweater Minifigure, and I don't think LEGO would spoil Ghost Rider if he was in Doomsday), what other minifigures could we expect? There is usually at least 5 minifigures in the Past Marvel Advent Calendars, so I could see the 2026 Advent Calendar also including a repeat of the Comic Captain America that came in that 4+ set last year and someone else. I would be excited for the Helicarrier and HERBIE if I had enough room Edited 15 hours ago by calebcold3 Quote
DaredevilFan Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Excited to see what characters will pop-up in the Brand New Day sets. Wonder if they’ll be somewhat similar to No Way Home and avoid characters like Sadie’s for spoiler reasons. But we should at least be getting characters like Scorpion and Tombstone. Punisher would be so amazing and would open the door to get Daredevil in the future. The Advent calendar sounds a lot better than previous years just based on the figs so far Quote
