Lyichir Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Since nobody else seems to be starting this topic, I figured I might as well! Here's a list of the sets revealed so far to start discussion:30696 Autumn's Waffle Stand 30697 Nova's Doghouse Build 42640 Guinea Pig Playground 42641 Surfing Dogs and Scooter Adventure 42643 Cotton Candy Stand and Scooter 42644 Heartlake City Ice Cream Truck 42645 Aliya's Baby Sister's Playroom 42646 Autumn's Room 42647 Paisley's Room 42649 Heartlake City Sweet Shop 42650 Pet Accessories Shop 42651 Horse and Pet Vet Clinic 42652 Friendship Tree House Hangout 42655 Restaurant and Cooking School 42656 Heartlake City Airport and Airplane 42662 Hair Salon and Accessories Shop 42663 Friendship Camper Van Adventure 42669 Beekeepers' House and Flower Garden 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores 42672 Creative Beach and Travel Suitcase Quote
vizzitor Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I think I'm going to have to collect all the plushies scattered about some of the sets, as well as the animals and the mini hats for them. I only just noticed that 42655 has a lot of food, cookwear, glasses, bowls etc. stuffed in the roof space. That's a really good idea to get different types of food and stuff into the set. There's also a seemingly new character with my sister's name that I'll more than likely have to get. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 So far, nothing from 2025 Friends is screaming outย at me to purchase it, or at least reverse engineer it like the Castle B&B did. We will have to see what late spring / summer holds, but I'll bet they'll be something much more up my alley then! Quote
El Garfio Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I like: 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores 42655 Restaurant and Cooking School But I find them expensive I will wait until a hard discount or I will try to copy some elements with my huge stock of bulk pieces Quote
karrit Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 There's a few sets I'm interested in.ย Will be skipping the Tree House one since it's very similar to the last one. Apartments,ย Restaurant, Beekeeper, maybe the Camper, a couple of the small food stand ones will be on my wishlist.ย ย Also the Suitcase one, I always get those.ย ย Quote
Lyichir Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 Just made a post on Brickset's news article about these sets, so to save time I'll copy my thoughts here: Quote Oh man... there's so much to love about these sets. It'll be hard to fit it all into just one comment. Guinea pigs! Corgis! Surfing corgis! New baby mold! There was already a mold for young children, but this baby fits in strollers and such like regular minifig babies. Bedroom sets for Autumn and Paisley, following the four from two years ago. They even match the colors of Autumn and Paisley's complete house sets, which is a great touch. Love Autumn's new ferret, too! The sweet shop is SO cute! I love the candy mascot characters, Gigi's colorful hair, and what looks like a new mold for some of the candyโa 1x1x2/3 dome! Been waiting on a part like that for years! Eniko the veterinarian has a port wine stain (a vascular skin discoloration), continuing the Friends theme's commitment to diversity. Love the shaggy dog family in that set as well! The treehouse has some cool DIY customization features, and I love the little room for the raccoon (complete with a bed, a portrait by Liann, and an accumulating hoard of goodies). The cooking school set is so cool! Sara from the water park set returns here (featuring her colostomy bag covered by a non-swimwear outfit). Chef Marta's fish tattoo is cool, I love the new face for Churro the cat, and I love the way the new "yarn ball" piece from the latest CMF series looks in cool yellow for a bowl of noodles! The airport set looks great and devotes more space to the airport itself than most previous City or Friends sets. Love the colors too. The salon is really cute with lots of different hairstyle options. The camper van is also really cute, with sleeping bags, a kitchenette, and a working toilet similar to the one from Ninjago City Markets. The Beekeeper's House and Flower Garden set is GORGEOUS! I love how the two pets in the set seem to match their owners (especially the bunny's bushy mustache). The house/shop is gorgeous and I love the beehives and hexagonal flower beds in the garden. The Apartments and Stores set looks amazing, with sidewalks that match sets like 41732 and 41742. Love the garage door shutters for the laundromat, and the crank that spins both the washer and dryer and the pottery wheel next door. The painted lady-style houses look gorgeous too. ย Quote
Russell844 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 42670ย Heartlake City Apartments and Stores Probably my favorite Friends set ever. It so reminds me of San Francisco. Quote

Am I missing any others in the 2025 sets? ย On 12/12/2024 at 9:39 AM, Lyichir said: Gigi's colorful hair I noticed that's the first reuse of the Izzie hairpiece outside of Dreamzzz Izzie/Dizzie. I can't say I'm that familiar with all the Friends characters, so I had to check, but it seems Gigi is a new character. It's a shame because the price of the hair will probably be quite exorbitant on B&P. ย Quote
Lemerbrix Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 So, as 2025 draws closer, I want to take a look at my first in-hand impressions of the new years sets. Given that Iโm not as active on eurobricks anymore (Iโm considering possibly leaving the site) Iโll make the most of this (sorry that got a bit personal)ย so I was at Walmart, and saw that they had set 42645 out already. Given that it was cheap, and the only 2025 set they had, I purchased it. (Iโm currently on vacation, so sorry for location) this set is pretty good, and is great value! If I had one complaint, I would say that the โeatingโ function isnโt that great, but otherwise I think this set is nice for $17! The new โsquishmallowโ mold is adorable, and I would recommend. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) @Lemerbrixย if you leave, it'll be sad to see you go. Good luck wherever youย go, have fun whatever you do, and may your brown bricks never be brittle, the presents you get always rattle, and your life be full of Danish ABS plastic forevermore! jonwil Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I am liking where Friends is going these days, some great stuff even for someone like me who builds more City type MOCs and doesn't care so much for minidolls. I really like the laundromat (and will be snagging some of those printed radar dishes from LEGO online PaB in the future for sure). Although I have never seen a laundromat that has a roller door before... ย Quote
Lemerbrix Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hey! So, as a brief follow up to my last message in this thread, Iโve decided to stay here on eurobricks for the time being with that out of the way, we got a new short! Liann tries to not spoil autumnโs surprise gift ย This is our first taste of Lego friends content for this year! Quote
Mooch Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I was hoping for another friendโs house set. Maybe in the next wave! Quote

Lemerbrix Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Friends plant cafe and flower shop leaked, It looks amazing! A better version of the French cafe IMO Quote
Agent Kallus Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Whilst I still don't care about mini dolls I'm getting more and more drawn in to some of the friends sets, the theme has evolved beyond what it start off with when it was simple builds that were almost always pink, purple or pastels, while modern day stuff isn't my biggest interest, I'd say friends has definitely now eclipsed city on that front. The new comic shop looks great too! Quote
Lyichir Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 New Friends set pictures are up on JB Spielwaren!ย https://www.jb-spielwaren.de/lego-neuheiten-2025 There's SO many cool things here, almost none of which even leaked beforehand... The comic and game shop set has the characters in some very cool cosplay, with Nova in a Star Trek-esque Classic Space outfit and Aliya in a cool elf costume. There's also some awesome features like an alien plushie with antennae, a Lego set box homaging the Space Police III Galactic Enforcer, and a working gachapon machine! The controller mascot character outside is cute as well! The Family Holiday Beach Resort looks very cool, with a large beachfront area and very distinct architecture utilizing roller coaster track for the peaked roof. The Costume Party set is really zany, with very funny costumes for Olly, Zac, Paisley, Autumn, and even Churro! Speaking of Churro... he gets his own BIRTHDAY PARTY! Attended by many of the other cats we've seen in the theme as well as a new one, a fluffy grey cat named Bear (so cute...). Also cute: the Pony Ranch and Stable, with small dopey-looking little ponies! I also like the sod roof and wood stove, and the lanterns decorated with the hobby horse head piece. The Music Shop and Apartment has another cute mascot character, this time a music note. The last one that jumped out at me was the "Friendship Movie Night" set, with an outdoor screen and a light brick to project one of two movies (fantasy or sci-fi). Very cute small-ish set. Quote

Also, that knight helmet has a light bluish gray headpiece underneath. I wonder if it is moulded out of the classic space style or it is motorcycle helmet style? Quote
RichardGoring Posted May 2 Posted May 2 For a long while Friends has been one of my favorite themes, and been going from strength to strength. I felt last year was lower quality on average than the previous year, but wow, they have jumped up again. Lovely looking sets, and great variety! Quote
jonwil Posted May 3 Posted May 3 From looking at the pictures, I am fairly sure its the motorcycle helmet in light bley, not the space helmet. ย Quote
