I couldn’t agree less. Hiring James Gunn, the guy who was directly involved in planning phase 3 of the MCU (indisputable their most successful phase) and putting an emphasis on filming projects with good scripts instead of just making movies about certain characters because they’re who fans want to see (ie, the DCEU’s method that led to such great films as The Flash, Joker and Harley er um Suicide Squad, and Justice League) are the two smartest moves WB has made in quite a long time.

James Gunn doesn't have all the power though, it's Zaslav and the executives 

It's been heard from people that went to screenings and insiders that Superman will be like Guardians Of The Galaxy, I don't even think they'll focus on Superman at all and just focus on Krypto 

I have a worry that the DCU will all be Gunn style comedy

Also a bunch of Merch leaked for the Superman Film (Mcfarlane,Funko,Spinmaster) I wonder why Lego never done anything for it

Stop listening to random, untrustworthy sources. What do you even mean by focus on Krypto? It's a Superman movie, of course the focus will be on him.

They've literally just released the Minecraft movie, which will probably be the first $1B movie of this year.

And what does that even have to do with anything? In the current movie landscape it's really hard to actually make a huge hit, and it's not like Disney, Sony, Universal are doing particularly better.

I highly doubt Arkham is microscale it makes no sense. obviously there's no actual proof until it revealed probably in august. 

The only "concrete" thing we know is its Arkham Asylum, around 3k pieces 10-15 figures coming in September and I heard a leak saying its comic based. 

I would set your expectations similar to either the x mansion or the sanctum with less than 15 figures and decent enough modular but not as impressive as the tower or bugle.  

But this is the set I've wanted for so long and I'm so excited. To me the only requirement is its got to be better than the 2012 one.

I'm probably going to get 2 to make it bigger as the x mansion and the sanctum can be made bigger with 2 sets and have instructions on rebrickable to do so.

I think the Leak of 10-15 minifigures proves its not microscale. As the skyline had 4. 10 figures without anywhere to put them in the set wont happen

I’d love to get a new Blue and Grey Batman, especially with the new cowl. Also an actual new Bruce Wayne face. But that would be a massive waste of the budget. I’d rather they just reuse Batman, Joker, freeze and Harley and give the rest of the figs new prints. Also with them making a new two face mould for the Dark knight I could definitely see them wanting to reuse it here, hopefully with a new black and white one

I can see Batman getting a new torso. As every 18+ batman set has a unique batman made for it. The shadow box had a polybag of it being the only exception still amazed by that. But I wouldn't mind if it was a reuse.
and yeah I agree joker, freeze and two face's head will probably be reused. I can see Harleen being made and maybe they have a Harley Quinn outfit as well maybe not. 
so just leaves 7-12 figures left with approx 5 new prints budget each for head torso and legs.

Why not? This face isn't even accurate to the TDK version of the character. It could be used for literally anything. I could use it for Loka Hask, for example

This years one. on its own its very generic nothing really unique to TDK . The suit and hair make it TDK version I agree they cant use the torso. 

Only because they need to pick figures and parts from existing sets and outside of batman, joker, freeze and maybe Harley there's nothing else. 
With the reasonable same print budget as the x mansion they will need to reuse more figures or create "purist" figure like they done with max shrek. (which I can see them using for the warden if he's in it)

TDK Two Face’s head is generic enough that it could be reused for a comic version of the character. Heck, that might explain why they made his eyebrows the wrong color. 😝

This is, of course, if you think that leak is reliable. When you combine the fact that most vague "it's somewhere from X-Y figure" leaks end up either being the lowermost number or just lower than the range given, with DC's staggeringly low budget and overall lack of figures able to be re-used, I think it's pretty likely that we get fewer figures.

I just thought the TDK Two-Face faceprint was too subtle to work as a comic version which usually looks way more manic and exaggerated, but y‘all are right, this is LEGO DC we‘re talking about

Do we know if a promo set is off the table or just unknown for Arkham? are they normally rumoured with a set?

I imagine very few people actually care about this set, as it’s just another boring Batmobile with a boring Man minifig  I’ll get it for the sake of completion, but my excitement is asymptotic to 0.
