Governor Mister Phes Posted June 11 Governor Posted June 11 While the BrickLink Designer Team haven't specified the increased production limits, they did create this notification on the Series 5 main page: Quote

Those numbers earlier today were: Adventure in Transylvania 50k units Antique Shop 30k units Mushroom Village 30k units Popcorn Wagon 30k units The Thieves of Tortuga 40k units Thanks for sharing that information! Looks like The Thieves of Tortuga is at the moment hovering around the 30k pre-ordered sets, Adventure in Transylvania is going towards 44k sets pre-ordered. Quote

There is also another variable within the code named dPercentagePreordered with a current value of 0.742725 nMaxAvailable * dPercentagePreordered = TotalPreOrders 40000 * 0.742725 = 29,709 So 10,291 sets are still available. If I had the time, I'd write some JavaScript to automatically extract these values and create a little dashboard on Classic-Pirates.com to better illustrate this. Quote
zinnn Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I am so happy that Lego/Bricklink are showing their middle fingers to all the scalpers :) Quote

GeoBrick Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) is a happy boatswain now, with all the ruckus on a certain BDP set's page. Edit: On a more constructive note, making the order limit flexible gives the LEGO Group a better idea how much demand there is for certain types of sets. Edited June 13 by GeoBrick Quote
TalonCard Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Probably not going to happen, but I would hope too that producing more sets overall might bring the price down a little in the long run. Quote
NOD Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Luckily, I saw it in time and pre-ordered one. I should take the time to visit eurobricks site more often. Quote

How could you! But seriously... in case you missed the updates... The order limit was increased to 40,000 when it became apparent 30,000 was likely to sell out within a few hours of the commencement of Crowdfunding, At the time of writing 9,152 Thieves of Tortuga sets remain. Hopefully more sets sell before the deadline. Strong Pirate sales should interest TLG into making more sets on this theme. A set of pirate mini figures would be excellent! Quote
