Jockos Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Nuremberg Toy Fair started today. I really hope we get some info in the coming days. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted January 30 Posted January 30 TLG is confirmed as an exhibitor, so something is gonna be shown. Quote
AVCampos Posted January 30 Posted January 30 But most likely nothing that's allowed to be shown to the public. Quote

I was there... The Lego stand was completely built up. You could only get inside if you were invited or had an appointment. Last year Lego was not at the fair at all. They complained a lot that everyone around them was copying their new products. Quote

I understand Legos tricky position but I also miss the days of getting those "leaks" and the days before that of getting those thick, square catalogues that showed every product for the whole year. If only we had our own secret place, like a secret garage, where the first rule is to talk about Technic, and we could trade leaks for critiques! Quote
EricZhou Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hello everyone,is there any information about the flagship set of this year? Quote
SNIPE Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I wonder when the reviewers embargo date is for march sets Quote

To be fair, the company that most copies Lego is Lego itself, I mean do we really need a full grid of F1 cars in every single theme? Quote

But I think the general technic audience will never get tired of cars, because the group will change, new customers come and old customers move on to other expensive display items. So sadly, I don't see Lego moving away from cars in technic. Quote

So sadly, I don't see Lego moving away from cars in technic. Releasing cars for years after years is not a problem either, specially considering the new customers come old customers go movement. It's feels like they all seem so much the same! When MOC designers (and companies) at least tried different steering angles, suspension setup, RC, and ride height adjustments Lego™ seem to play all safe and sound for all the recent years Quote
Michael217 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Just look at these terrible Corvette and Supra! In the summer, judging by the prices and the number of parts, we can expect several more sets of this format. It would be better to produce some kind of excavator or combine harvester with motors. And speaking of engines, are any electrics expected this year at all, other than the flagship kit? Quote
AVCampos Posted February 7 Posted February 7 You mean like 42042 but with a (hopefully heavy) ball instead of the claw? Quote

A demolition excavator isn't something with high display value so my guess is 42214. Edited February 7 by Ngoc Nguyen Quote
