An entry my sister built (I'm posting it for her because she doesn't have an Eurobricks account). :D

Shipwreck of Avedo

I really enjoyed building this LEGO MOC.
And many thanks to my sister and brother for their good advice!

I really liked building the crows nest and had a lot of fun just trying to make all those wired pieces connect
with limit of fifty pieces!

I hope you like it! Thanks a lot for running this contest! :)

Your sister knows how to put a good spin on the desert island concept!

I have added it to the Entries Index.

Lovely little moc. I always liked the idea of a ship burried to the point where only it's top mast is sticking out of the sand, or even where a wreckage is overun by nature so much that it actually forms the core of the new mini island :)

I  wonder if that mast can hold still tho? Like, could that monkey or a pirate climb on it and stand, without the whole thing collapsing? Or is it sort of loosely attached to the ground?

Thank you! :pir-classic: I decided to do a deserted island and shipwreck almost immediately after I saw the prompt! Seemed really classic for a pirate to be stranded.

Thank you! Me too, I always thought of that as a fun concept! :pir_laugh2: No, the ship is not attached to the ground but I think that the monkey if balanced right could hang/stand near the top.

Another nice little set! Though for being official it sure lacks the pole being connected to the build and I smell some illegal connections with those bars - the rules in the end are, to design a possible official set ...

As for some more colorfulness I'd go with a red crab, a blue bandana and a different color of legs - maybe gray. And the pirate needs his sword (;

That tree looks awesome I will take a new design any day :) other than this you need to revisit that mast does the bars even attach to that plate? Anyway a lovely build and happy building :)

I do like the tree as well though a couple coconuts or palm fronds could be nice.

As far as the model boat? I guess I don't understand it. Is that the top of the ship sticking through the sand or a model ship? Is it the mast of the ship that the pirate has put into the sand? I guess I'm not sure what I'm looking at as far as the "boat" goes.

Many interesting techniques used here!  The sand is nicely shaped, and the masthead is definitely not a build I've ever seen before.  I love that this is one of the only mini sets to include a palm tree!

And the crab, monkey, bottle, and banana are all great accessories that lend themselves to good storytelling.

Very nicely done!  I think the only issue I see is that some of the techniques used would put stress on the bricks.  That doesn't stop them from being cool, though!  Just don't leave it assembled like this for too long.
