Personally, I don’t mind the made-up vehicles and locations, but they should at least come with some new minifigs here and there! I can’t think of any other licensed theme that only introduced one new non-brick-built character across 5 sets *huh*

It’s a smaller theme, sure, but so is Fortnite and that gets tons of new characters with novel specialised pieces! Maybe next year

Genuinely curious as to how you see the popularity of other characters and whether it makes sense for LEGO to make them. I only know Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnik (and metal sonic, although the silver one from Sonic 2), but clearly other characters are part of the more recent (last 25 years) of media. To a casual fan, what characters are missing that would be a draw to new sets, compared to sticking with the core set they have already introduced?

Any, I would say :snicker: Look at other themes, where even the most obscure and random characters are treated as selling points! I think a set with let’s say Sonic, Knuckes, and Cream would easily outsell the identical set with Tails instead of Cream. Having recognisable characters is important, but new ones increase collectability and might even introduce casual fans to characters they weren’t familiar with before!

Yes, very good point!

I just purchased the Biolizard set through Target for $35.99, and built it. I think it's a pretty neat build overall, and it's good to get Super Sonic and Super Shadow in a reasonably affordable set together. Now the only minifigure scale sets I'm missing are the Egg Drillster and the Balkiry polybag.

I got the Drillster set today, on 30% off clearance, which isn't the best deal, but I like the set. It gives me Super Sonic and Shadow. I'd like to get Knuckles, but don't the sets he's in, and they would have to be crazily discounted for me to consider getting one. Hoping the next wave has a better option.

This recently got deconfirmed by Brick Tap, but someone made a false leak on the two January 2026 sets being called "Sonic and Jet's Racing Duel" and "Big's Fishing Adventure" and I'm curious to see how many people would have believed it otherwise

I’m still waiting for Sonics car

It's now being circulated on Reddit that Brick Tap apparently reported the January sets as:

77117 - Sonic's Car (6+): $10 USD

77118 - Silver's Car vs. Knuckles' Monster Truck (6+): $30 USD

At $10, I'm not expecting anything else to be included.

With this wave appearing to be racing focused, I wonder if the summer wave will continue that, or if they'll do something bigger for the 35th anniversary. I'm still hoping for a CMF series.

A new polybag for 2026 leaked on reddit under the number 30773 with 80 pieces, it's probably another buildable badnik

80 is pretty high for a Polybag. Coconuts and Balkiry had 42 parts each
Maybe finally Omega? He would require a larger part count and really only need 1 print with his shoulder emblem. (The one I concepted in LDD as a Polybag uses 111 parts. But I could probably shrink that down to 80)

Omega sounds like a solid choice, bonus if he can swap out his hands for miniguns. Although I won't say no to them sneaking in a new minifigure similar to what they've done for that Maple fella in the animal crossing theme

Would be nice but the ability to swap hands for guns would be tricky with only 80 parts. I could see them doing one hand and one gun arm though.

This doesn't warrant it's own topic. But wanted an opinion on these ideas for My Lego Orbot

Orbot and Cubot.png

Apologies for the small size. I have no idea why the image upload limit on this topic is so small.

The head piece is supposed to be Brick, Round 1 x 1 x 2/3 Dome Top but that's not in LDD so used the headpiece from the Egghead minifig from Lego Batman

Hard to find a good dome like piece for Orbot's lower body (Likely why Lego hasn't made him yet) But I think one of these two will suffice. Just want to know which looks better.

The upcoming GWP is allegedly a SEGA Genesis! Kinda funny how the NES, GameBoy, and Atari 2600 were all 1:1 scale almost, while this one will be tiny :snicker:

Also, unlike each of those consoles/handhelds, the Sega console had different names in different regions. I suppose they could include a sticker with both "Mega Drive" and "Genesis" and have both names printed on the box.

Good point! Still better than the SNES, which had different designs between the US and Europe/Japan, and thus wouldn’t make much sense as a set

I hope so!
