I'm not expecting that we'll see a NWH set either but Hasbro has teased a 2nd NWH ML wave and just today a leaked list of Funko-pops came out that included a listing for the 3 spideys. I don't really keep up with those brands tho so maybe their production is just ridiculously fast.

It is. They announced Funko Pops based on Squid Game last October, and you can‘t tell me those were planned all along

My point is, it was a really unsure source in the first place. 

Now that one of their rumours, the one they were most sure of turned out to be wrong, we don't have the tiniest reason to believe their other rumours.

If a leaker is wrong about something they're "sure of", then they're definitely wrong about something they weren't sure of.

The source didn't even have a reputation in the first place.

LEGO doesn't celebrate movie anniversaries.

Nah there have been multiple instances where one thing a leaker said was false but other parts were not. So no that’s not true and Lego literally celebrated Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary

Too many anniversaries this year for Lego to just ignore them all. The 60th anniversary Spider-man and the 10th anniversary of Avengers being the main ones.

Established leakers, yes. This guy was new, so we can assume that he simply made it all up. Plus anything that ends up being true could also just be a lucky guess, which is why new leakers can only be trusted after a while (or if their claims all get backed up by reliable leakers right away)

And regarding anniversaries: TLG mostly celebrate the anniversaries of themes, not the movies they‘re based on

This guy had other leaks that turned out to be true. 22 CMF, for example. So it's too early to assume everything he said was fake

Bruh you're just mad we aren't getting Raimi sets. You aren't looking objectively. 

LEGO celebrated Harry Potter's 20th anniversary, but not the movie's - the LEGO theme's.

They weren't even a leaker - it was a random source who got something right once.

Out of all of this, not getting more NWH stuff for the foreseeable future is the most upsetting. The amount of justified hype behind the film has been tremendous, and it feels like a massively missed opportunity not to capitalise on merchandise outside of t-shirts and socks.

But it makes sense, it looks like Sony and Marvel Studios were extremely minimalistic in what they revealed to licensing partners. Great for preserving surprise at cinemas but not so much for collectors!

Indeed, arguably one of the most hyped movie release this year. Culmination of 3 spiderman generations. I was really hoping for an updated Tobey Spidey and also general release Andrew Spidey. Hopefully, we see some light soon.

From what I understand, LWC was the first to claim we would be getting another CMF series and Raimi sets. Just because the CMF news was false, doesn't mean the Raimi sets are false; however, since no other prominent leakers have corroborated this, it's reasonable to assume the Raimi sets rumors are also false. I'm less skeptical regarding the NWH set since rumors of its existence have circulated the forum well before LWC's claims, so he/she isn't the only source to propose another NWH set. But that is also just a rumor at the moment.

I read long ago that Marvel Studios had a bigger role in marketing for this film compared to the previous two Sony Spider-Man.

I literally don’t care about Raimi sets BRUH! I’m just stating how you don’t know everything and a little bit of discussion doesn’t hurt especially when there are multiple flaws in your reasoning. Well then there could be a 20th anniversary of the Spider-Man theme couldn’t there be? Harry Potter was not a consecutive 20 years

There could be, but that's not my point.

I'm talking about the source and their leaks. They were just proved to not he reliable.

Raimi sets are just speculation now. They could happen, but we don't have any evidence to make us believe so.

I mean, technically the spider-man theme started in 2004. The 2002 sets were under the studios line. In addition, lego is pretty hit-or-miss when it comes to anniversaries. We do tend to get them for themes, such as SW, HP, and ninjago, but rarely for films. Aside from the empire strikes back, they don't do SW film anniversaries (because ESB is the best one ), and the only other film anniversary stuff lego's really done in the past 10 years or so that I remember is the 30th anniversary of batman 1989 with the 1989 batmobile. So it's possible, but considering the source is busted, we have no information at all as to whether or not it will happen.

 

So from what I gather the Raimi sets "leak" was fake? Bummer, I would have totally bought them just to get a raimi suit for under $100... is the NWH set still happening?

It's just that Funko is releasing products in honor of this and I think LEGO can make products in honor of this too.
