I too like the effect of the new and old bricks, gives it a nice weathered look.

Nice castles.  I like the old school vibes of these.  Reminds me of some the old 80's-90's castle stuff from lego.

Superb collection of well designed castles. The feel is proper for the Middle Ages for most and the detail work good enough for display anywhere.
