EamonnMR Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 (edited) Something I noticed back in the day was that 6977- Arachnoid-Star-Base's product photograph/box art shows robots with the smiling Spyrius robot head instead of the crosshair-eyed Insectoids robot head. Another example from a few years later is 7180 B wing at rebel control center which shows a classic eyebrow-less head for the pilot, but shipped with an eye browed head. Anyone have any other examples where the official box photo has a mistake? Edited May 16, 2021 by EamonnMR Adds packaging tag Quote
AmperZand Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 A fun topic that has cropped up before such as in this thread. Perhaps a friendly mod could combine them. Quote
NathanR Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 For the Star Wars set 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tyderium, there's an error in the background of the box art where the second Death Star has been flipped. Interestingly, the original shooting model of the second Death Star was actually built that way round, but every shot in Return of the Jedi where it appeared got flipped because George Lucas thought it looked better the other way round. 1974 Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 (edited) On several of the earliest Town/Castle sets TLG didn't actually have the male hair ready and used a filed down pigtail hair instead There's a minifig cut in half on the Futuron monorail Black arm on a soldier in 6061 and wrong pants on another soldier in 6067 Edited May 23, 2021 by 1974 Quote
