Edit: I thought of another thing btw - would it be possible to shorten the height of the stand by using 1x11 and 1x7 liftarms instead of 1x13 and 1x9? As far as I can see it would work, but maybe that would cause other problems with connecting the lower plates or something? Appreciate your input.

Hey! There's no reason for it not to work. The stand dimensions have been engineered for optimal display and looks (+ being able to see enough of the underside), but a shorter stand should work just as well :)

So, just finished this MOC.

First, it is beautiful and the perfect size...

but:

It is not so sturdy as i wish.

Main Problem for me, is the connection between the Hull and the Frame.

Is there an alternative way, to make a more sturdy connection?

hi, currently building this MOC. love the design AND the size.

 

having problems at step 368. it lists 5 of those round parts, but you can only see 3 in the drawing, maybe a 4th might be somewhat visible. but where does the fifth belong?! can anybody help?

@jk31 I do not have this set/MOC, but look to the left of what you have marked as 1 on the picture.  Two more round plates are shown in the diagram.

Now, if those are there in the previous step, my apologies, but it seems to be that five are shown.

thanks. but this one actually was there before. i found a complete picture of the backside of this structure later in the instructions. there i found out where to place both the 4th (its actually the spot i marked above) and 5th one.
