Seehas Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 (edited) Hello, I would like to show you my last digital project: The EL 4 was built in 1903 for the "Trossinger Eisenbahn" one of the first ever electric Railroad Companies in Germany. It was founded by the citizens of Trossingen especially by businessmen who needed a connection to the state railway that was about 8 kilometers away instead of bringing their goods there with coaches. Trossingen is best known in Germany (and abroad) being the city of harmonicas (Hohner). The Original is still running, it might be one of the oldest working electric Locomotives of the world. If you like to know more: https://www.trossinger-eisenbahn.de/english-summary/ I hope you like it. Best regards, Volker Edited March 31, 2021 by Seehas Quote
zephyr1934 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 That's a great rendition and easily recognizable. The pantograph seems huge, but that is prototypical. Quote
Seehas Posted April 1, 2021 Author Posted April 1, 2021 Thanks a lot, zephyr. Yes, the pantograph seems to be oddly big, but it is indeed. Quote
Asper Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Hi Volker, nice engine, love to wee this in real. With this (Circuit Cubes) maybe it's possible to motorize it! Steffen Quote
Feuer Zug Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 The pantographs are huge, but not out of scale for the real thing. Great job. Quote
Paperinik77pk Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 What a cutie! It is a very original small locomotive - a perfect tribute to the original one! Great job Ciao! Davide Quote
