Thanks!

Excellent choices from both the higher and lower price points in the spectrum. It's good to see the Sandcrawler this summer seems to be falling directly into the type of signature set you're asking for. Good diversity of eras for both, it's impressive you were able to come up with solid clone battle packs that are unique compared to anything we've seen the past ~5 years. And I'm always a fan of the 212th- though I've never heard of the clone gunboat and can't seem to find it on google, what's it's technical name?

ANH wave:

Vader's TIE Advanced Microfighter ($14.99): Darth Vader (New dual-molded helmet with dark red lenses, wave standard)

TIE Fighter Pilot Mech ($14.99): TIE Pilot. Rather than an extension of their body, the mech resembles a TIE fighter and includes a shield shaped like a wing.

Imperial Patrol battle pack ($19.99): Dewback with 4x Sandtrooper (1 orange pauldron, 2 black pauldron, 1 white pauldron), as well as a security droid build.

Droid Escape Pod ($9.99): Small droid escape pod with C-3PO and R2-D2 (using the new body mold with an additional new mold to cover the back studs, wave standard)

50th Anniversary Luke's Landspeeder ($24.99): Luke's Landspeeder using the new canopy piece with Luke Skywalker (Farmboy), Biggs Darklighter (tatooine), and special anniversary Mcquarrie Stormtrooper.

50th Anniversary Detention Cell Block ($44.99): Comes with Han Solo (Stormtrooper), Princess Leia, 1x Imperial Fleet Trooper, Luke Skywalker (stormtrooper), special anniversary Mcquarrie Chewbacca.

50th Anniversary Trash Compactor Escape ($54.99): Comes with Luke Skywalker (stormtrooper), Chewbacca, Han Solo (Stormtrooper), Imperial Officer, special anniversary Mcquarrie C-3PO.

50th Anniversary Y-wing ($69.99): Y-wing with Dutch Vander, Dex Tiree, a Rebel Astromech, and special anniversary Mcquarrie Luke Skywalker

50th Anniversary Millenium Falcon ($159.99): Downsized a bit from the 2015/24 version which I honestly think is too big. Comes with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, Ben Kenobi, Darth Vader, 2x Spacetrooper, and special anniversary Mcquarrie Ben Kenobi.

50th Anniversary Death Star Trench Run ($199.99): X-wing (~500 pcs), TIE Advanced (~500 pcs), TIE fighter (~450 pcs), a small turbolaser turret, and a small exhaust port with an explode feature. Comes with Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Darth Vader, 1x TIE Pilot, 2x Imperial Gunner, and special anniversary Mcquarrie Darth Vader.

TIE Pilot bust ($59.99): TIE Pilot

Sand Trooper Helmet ($69.99): Most of the dirt detailing is done with pieces, not stickers or prints.

Midi-Scale Star Destroyer Devastator ($69.99): how have we not gotten this in the starship collection yet

50th Anniversary UCS Tantive IV ($699.99): Tantive IV with full interior- the bridge, the main hallway, the area where leia records her message, an escape pod bay, etc. Comes with Princess Leia (Skirt), C-3PO (silver dual-molded leg), R2-D2, Captain Antilles, 3x Rebel Fleet Trooper, 3x Stormtrooper, Darth Vader, and special anniversary Rebel Friend.

I like all these ideas. The Death Star Trench Run is probably one of my favourite ideas ever - what a good set that would be!

How about we split that up into:

50th anniversary X-wing: $90, composed of $65 worth of X-wing build, $20 worth of exhaust port build, and $5 worth of extra parts to customize your X-wing. Figures include Luke, Wedge, Red Leader, and a droid for each of them. Extra parts included to customize your X-wing to each of their paint jobs. (6 figures)

50th anniversary TIE Advanced: $50, composed of $50 worth of TIE build. Figures include Darth, concept-Darth, Stormtrooper, concept-Stormtrooper. (4 figures)

50th anniversary TIE Fighter: $60, composed of $45 worth of TIE build and $15 worth of turbolaser build. Figures include TIE pilot, Imperial Gunner, Stormtrooper (3 figures).

That's the same total price and content, but with 13 figures instead of 7 figures, and split up into three sets that are individually more accessible than a single giant $200 box.

Personally, if I'm going to wishlist about special anniversary sets I'd go for:

Colin Cantwell prototype X-wing (from sketch models), $70

Ralph McQuarrie prototype X-wing (from concept art), $70

Colin Cantwell/Ralph McQuarrie prototype Y-wing (the sketch models closely resemble the concept art, unlike with the X-wings), $70

Thank you! I hope they do something like that, I think it would be really cool for the anniversary to have a playscale representation of that scene.

Thanks. That's an obscure one- it frustrates me sometimes how many ROTS/AOTC republic vehicles just never show up in TCW. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the GAR ships and vehicles introduced by that show, but it would have been nice to get a better view of stuff like the gunboats.

You're welcome to do so, it's just an idea after all. The reason I made it one set is partially because I do just think a big anniversary representation of that scene would be cool, and partially because I give myself limited set slots in these waves and didn't want to use half my system sets on the X-wing/TIEs.

I like your idea to do a full mcquarrie/cantwell set rather than just figures. I worry it would be a little too obscure for a mainline retail set, but a concept X-wing would be PERFECT for a GWP.

All good sets from @ArrowBricksthere, the two-packs have been historically strong sets by lego and I really hope they continue with them. I'd buy almost every one mentioned.

TESB wave:

Super Star Destroyer Microfighter ($14.99): Admiral Piett

IG-88 mech ($14.99): Since IG-88 is made of standard parts it also includes Bossk. The mech has a head included and essentially functions as an alternate body for IG-88, as he's wont to do in extended media.

Hoth Battle Pack ($19.99): 2x Snowtrooper and 2x Hoth Rebel Trooper. Includes a P-tower and probe droid.

Wampa Cave Wipeout ($9.99): Buildable Wampa and a very small cave, sort of like the one in the "UCS" hoth, with a function for a hanging luke to force-retrieve his saber. Comes with Luke Skywalker (hoth)

Yoda's Traning: Dark Side Cave ($29.99): Dark side cave with Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and Darth Vader (Dream version with Luke's head).

Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder ($44.99): Rebel Snowspeeder (with the new canopy mold) including Luke Skywalker, Dak Ratler, and a Snowtrooper with an E-web.

Cloud City: Enter Vader ($54.99): Cloud City dining room with Bespin Leia, Bespin Han, Darth Vader, 1x Stormtrooper, and 1x Imperial Officer

The Battle of Hoth ($109.99): Echo Base main gate with a DF.9 on top, imperial speeder bike, and a molded Tauntaun. Comes with Hoth Leia, R-3PO, General Reikann, 1x Hoth Rebel Trooper, Darth Vader, 1x snowtrooper commander, and 1x snowtrooper.

Slave One: Bounty Hunter Clash ($179.99): Returned to large scale. Includes Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss.

Limited Edition: Cloud City Showdown ($199.99): Similar layout to the 2003 version. Includes a landing pad, central hallway, carbon freezing chamber, dining room, and a few small rooms representing sections of the Luke/Vader fight. Includes a ~300 pc Cloud Car. Comes with Lando, Lobot, Ugnaught, Bespin Wing Guard (John Bespin, the one who tragically dies in one of the LSWTCS cutscenes), Wilrow Hood, Carbonite Han, Chewbacca (new mold with studs on the back for a subassembly that C-3PO's head sticks out of), Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and 2x Stormtrooper.

Boba Fett bust ($59.99): Boba Fett

Snowtrooper Helmet ($69.99):

Midi-Scale Slave One ($69.99):

UCS Super Star Destroyer Executor ($749.99): Comes with Admiral Piett and Darth Vader

Always thought the dining room would work well as a diorama, I was convinced a few years back we’d see it.

Touché on the large scale Slave One.

Read this promotional article on LEGO.com.

https://www.lego.com/en-gb/categories/adults-welcome/article/lego-star-wars-display

Broad points:

1. UCS, Helmet Collection, Diorama’s, Starship Collection, buildable droids and characters, Brickheadz are targeted for adults.

2. These sets exist to counteract the space required for UCS sets.

3. Helmets are described as compact in all dimensions

4. Larger brickbuilt droids are described as a manageable size; Buildable characters do not need much space.

5. Starship collection is on a smaller scale, a “pocket friendly”, direct alternative to UCS “titans”.

6. Display is paramount to 18+ - “It’s time to move beyond the vision of great big museum-style display cases and prove that even a single shelf can become a striking LEGO Star Wars display“.

Although is it not mentioned, it is hard not to assume downscaled play-scale sets follow this same line of thought so adults can display them and children can too if they want.

At some point this design philosophy and strategy will move on. I am obsessed with how this might and should look because it’s going to define the next several years once it’s implemented. Ultimately, I think it’s created a stale environment but has skyrockets profits.

I won’t critique this strategy, instead I have the following questions.

1. If LEGO follow this same philosophy above, how should they have done it and how should they now do it?

2. If LEGO were to move away from this philosophy, what should the future look like?

Have you seen F1? Brad Pitt channels his best Literally Me for a solid two and a half hours. It's great. I bring it up because I very much want Starfighter to be that film translated 1:1 into space, and correspondingly for my hopes that there's some racing involved in starfighter, I hope our set wave for it is just a bunch of unique starfighters.

Overall a very solid wave, I'm glad the Mcquarrie anniversary fig concept is seeing some popularity, and I think you've got a good variety of solid sets there. That Republic Gunship/Millennium falcon double punch would rival 2014 for the best heavy-hitter playset selection, and while I'm sure there'd be some whining about how we've had them before, are probably my two most-wanted system sets at that flagship price point.

I didn’t really like it. I found it was a mid film with great cinematography. But some racing in Starfighter would be fun.

Well I wouldn’t say that it’s gaining popularity as I’m just retooling my ideas from 9 months ago.

In August of last year, I started developing a RotS Anniversary wave that excluded clones, in response to the Clonemania of 2025. I must have stopped somewhere along the way for some reason, but today I finally completed it.
Anyway, yes it's a bit late, but I've always wanted to add something to this thread so here it goes:

Dedicated to all those who criticize Ewoks or Babu Frik and say "But Swordy, you can't celebrate RotS without its most merchandisable aspect!"

Delicious. Simply delicious. And most impressive.

1. I’m not sure. But the lack of a ISD bridge diorama is just stupid.

2. Have a cap on 18+ gimmicks sets (6-8 annually) and revert back to being mostly play-set focused to ensure variety. That’s how I got into Lego as a kid, and it’s how I intend to stay in Lego until I’m inevitably priced out or they run out of plastic.

Instead a full wishlist, I’m going to start a What If series. Where I speculate on how things would have changed if something different happened or didn’t happen.

Starting with: What If: The 2020 501st BP had been a commercial failure?

Some major things: Lego would become much more reluctant to take internet demand seriously, particularly regarding TCW.

2021 - would have no difference

2022 - where we start seeing some major differences

  • The April 187th Republic Fighter Tank would have been replaced by a Hoth Defence set (Snowspeeder and a small trench build with: Luke Skywalker, Dak Ralter, General Reikan, Rebel Soldier and a Snowtrooper)
  • The August AT TE would have still happened. But,since online fan demand for clones like Cody was evidently overblown after the 501st BP, it would have been AOTC based to tie in properly with the minifig pack and Obi-Wan’s Delta 7. Minifigs would have been: Clone Commander, Clone Lieutenant, Clone Trooper, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker and 3 Geonosis B1 Battledroids.
  • Everything else remains the same

2023

  • Instead of 501st Specialists BP, BF2 still gets representation through a remake of 9489 but with a Stormtrooper heavy instead of a scout.
  • 20 years of Clone Wars is still celebrated with some 18+ representation. However only P1 Cody’s 18+ helmet and not Rex’s is made (Rex is replaced by the AT AT Pilot or a Red Guard) The UCS Venator still occurs since the ISD retired and the UCS Gunship had still been successful. However, P1 Cody and General Kenobi are the minifigs included.
  • The September Coruscant Guard Gunship is replaced by a new Endor Bunker set to commemorate the 40th anniversary of RotJ and act as a companion to Yavin. (Minifigs include: Imperial Officer, Navy Trooper, Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper, Ewok, Chewbacca, Leia (reuse from Speeder chase) and Han Solo.) But this set is an additional £10 compared to the Gunship we did get.
  • Instead of a summer 332nd BP we basically receive 75373 10 months earlier as its companion, the Moff Gideon bunker, had been made obsolete by the Endor Bunker.
  • Everything else remains the exact same. Including Yoda’s starfighter as it’s still 20 years of clone wars.
  • The 212th Clone in the year’s AC never actually happened in the 2022 AT TE. And is therefore replaced by a Scout Trooper

2024

  • The Clone vs Droid Battlepack still happens. But with 3 P1 Clones and a P1 Sargeant after the AT TE, unlike the 501st BP, was successful.
  • Fives does not become an Anniversary figure, he is replaced in the lineup by either Mara Jade, Kix (pirate), Yaddle or Yarael Poof.
  • Since Moff Gideon’s bunker has now been made obsolete, it is replaced by an Acolyte Vector Starfighter set. (Including: Sol, Osha Jecki and Qimir.)
  • Instead of Ambush on Mandalore BP, since that has already released, we get a generic KOTOR Jedi vs Sith Battlepack to represent how Lego has made sets for that era, and to somewhat tie in with Acolyte. And to give Malak some playmates without making him less special.
  • Instead of Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Microfighter we get General Kenobi’s Republic Gunship Microfighter
  • Grogu’s escape does still happen, but the 501st Troopers included do not have helmet holes as without P2 Cody in 2022 they would have never needed to make a new clone helmet.
  • Surprisingly, Rebuild the Galaxy still happens with Jedi Bob in a leading role cause it’s funny. However, he does not receive his own Starfighter set as Lego’s not entirely confident the internet demand will translate to good sales (after 501st BP) and instead is included in the Dark Falcon in place of Beach Luke. Jedi Bob’s Starfighter set slot is replaced by a TPM AAT with: Padme, Jar Jar and 2 B1 Battledroids.
  • Since Moff Gideon’s bunker never happened, neither do Praetorian guards. Which means that the one in the 2024 AC is replaced by one of the generic KOTOR Sith from the BP.
  • There also are no P2 Clone paper bags with magazines due to them not having been in sets, there are instead more builds and named characters.
  • Since there’s less confidence of TCW Glup Shittos, R2 KT rightfully replaces QT KT as an anniversary figure since, despite QT being a stand in for KT, KT is ultimately the droid which represents the SW fandom at its best.
  • Everything else remains the same.

2025

  • January remains the exact same. The ARC-170 happens for ROTS 20th Anniversary and Ahsoka’s Interceptor because she’s popular.
  • The August Clone Turbo Tank is replaced with a Kashyyyk Republic Gunship including: Luminara Unduli, Commander Gree, 2 41st Scout Troopers, Chewbacca and 2 Battledroids. As by that point it’d have been 12 years since the last Gunship release.
  • The 327th BP is replaced by Separatist Attack: Vulture Droid, Dwarf Spider and 2 B2 Battledroids vs Yoda and Tarful
  • Whilst the UCS Jango’s Slave One does happen to try and entice those who already have UCS Boba’s, the Play-Scale August Slave One is instead Boba’s based on ESB with: Lando Calarissian, Boba Fett, Princess Leia and a Han Solo Carbonite slab.
  • The August V-19 Torrent doesn’t happen due to the possible inclusions of Obi-Wan and Anakin already being on shelves for cheaper. Its set slot is replaced by a TIE Avenger :devil_laugh: with: Cassian (using the new helmet mould slot used by the Clone Pilot), Krennic and a Stormtrooper
  • No midi-scale Republic Acclamator. Instead we get a midi scale imperial shuttle.
  • Instead of the Clone Cadet May 4th GWP there is instead a small Yoda vs Palpatine Senate Duel diorama GWP.
  • The Separatist MTT I’m honestly not sure on. It definitely would be different. But I’m not sure if it’d end up being something else entirely like a Fondor Haulcraft, Boga Chase, Stinger Mantis or Gozanti Cruiser or just as easily have become simply a brown TPM MTT.
  • Everything else remains the same. As the 501st BP had nothing to do with the Buildable character scourge.

2026

  • The Mauldalorian BP now includes TK Troopers instead of 332nd and is pushed to June to tie in with Maul Shadowlord.
  • Due to the Coruscant Gunship never happening, the Shocktrooper Mech is replaced by P1 Captain Rex’s Republic Gunship mech
  • Everything else is pretty much the same from what we know of the year so far.

Okay. So that’s my What If. Some good changes, some bad. I’d love to know what you guys think and whether I’m just unreasonable. And do let me know of any What Ifs you’d like me to try and figure out.

It's an interesting article, though I hesitate to read too much into it. This type of thing is normally just some marketing agent somewhere rather than a designer or exec with actual insight into the design philosophy. They've got plenty of these up, and I remember reading one last Black Friday that was clearly written by someone with little insight into not only lego's design process but what products were even availible on their site at the time.

That said, I 100% believe them that these sets were made to entice non-afol adults into buying non-UCS sets. At the end of the day there's only 2-3 UCS sets a year, they're large purchases that most people are going to spend more time considering, and if someone doesn't want one, lego misses out on half the yearly income they'd get from that guy. With a large selection of helmets, midi-scale, etc, the risk of one weaker set or source material that a buyer doesn't like gets spread out- if somebody doesn't like one set but still buys the other three, lego's still getting the sales of those three. And they're easier to rationalize or buy as-  I wouldn't call $50-70 sets impulse buys, but at the very least things that could be a christmas present or something, rather than multi-hundred-dollar behemoths.

Good stuff. I think a lot of these have a good chance at happening relatively soon.

@Mandalorianknight i am very much enjoying all your movie wishlists. Some much needed remakes combined with a unique spin.

Starting with: What If: The 2020 501st BP had been a commercial failure?

  • The August AT TE would have still happened.

I don't know if I can take this betrayal. (Honestly I mean yeah it's not exactly the godfather, but it's also just not trying to be that type of movie. It's Mando, not Andor. I do give it points for the fact that most films that go like this have an obvious-from-the-start plotline where the older guy makes a sacrifice play at the end to let the new blood win, or something else comes up and he gives the win to somebody else, and I appreciated that they actually subverted my expectations in a non-TLJ way. I've been watching the set for it at my walmart and if it hits clearance it'll be the first set I think I'll have ever bought that's not sci-fi or fantasy based.)

Thank you! I try to make sure that if it's something we've had with much frequency, it includes or incorporates something new.

Your list is an interesting what-if, though perhaps a tad more dramatic than I think would have happened, unless we're assuming that it's an overall lack of interest from Gen Z/younger millenials in buying clone sets rather than JUST the 501st one failing. I think the AT-TE thing you bring up is inarguable, that was clearly set up as an AOTC set. I wonder who the figures would have been- I think you're right that the clone commander would have been a shoe-in for it. Maybe that's why he got put in the calendar.

Agree with what @CloneCommando99 said about capping the gimmick sets. Go back to what made the theme so good to begin with. I get why they won’t to increase the appeal to non-AFOLs but don’t lose the fans they’ve built up over the last 25+ years.

Really like all of these but especially these two. It’s kind of insane that out of the three big acts in ROTJ, the Final Duel is the only one that’s been given attention. The Battle of Endor has basically had no sets for the last 10 years whatsoever aside from the odd 4+ set or the things like the A-Wing in the recent smart brick set. I suppose there’s been some good UCS sets like the A-Wing and this year’s AT-ST come to think of it.

I've mentioned a couple of times on the main discussion thread that we’ve lost that range of <£50 sets. There are still some good sets out there but when I look at what Harry Potter is doing like the Privet Drive escape, the Sorting Ceremony, the Charms Classroom or the Dueling Club it does feel like we’re missing out a bit.

Speed Champions type sets:

Flash Speeder (£22.99): Captain Panaka and Naboo Security Guard

Luke’s Landspeeder (£22.99): Luke and Obi Wan. Can include some accessories like the lightsabers, Leia’s hologram piece and the Jedi training droid.

Rey’s Speeder (£22.99): Rey, BB-8 and Unkar Platt.

Bail Organa’s Speeder (£22.99): Bail Organa and Yoda

Captain Rex’s BARC Speeder with sidecar (£22.99): Phase 2 Captain Rex and Obi Wan based on his Season 3 Clone Wars attire.

Some general sets:

Duel on Tatooine (£17.99): Very similar to the Escape from Privet Drive set. Includes Darth Maul’s Speeder and a small rocky build. Comes with Darth Maul. Qui Gon, young Anakin and Shmi Skywalker.

Encounter on Endor (£17.99): Again, similar to the above set. Comes with an Endor Speeder and a small forest build. Includes Endor Leia, Wicket and two Scout Troopers.

Wampa Cave (£34.99): Comes with the cave and a mechanism to push the lightsaber out similar to the original. Comes with Hoth Luke, Hoth Han, a probe droid and a Wampa.

Duel on Utapau (£34.99): Comes with Greivous’ wheelbike. Includes Greivous, Obi Wan and two 212th troopers.

Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor (£39.99): Comes with Anakin, R2, Obi Wan and Dooku. Similar to the 2012 version where a few more figures are included to recreate the duel.

Vader’s TIE Advanced (£49.99): Comes with Vader, Ben Kenobi and R2-Q5.

It's really weird that the climactic battle of the entire trilogy only gets sets based on one small (but excellent) part of it.

Great set choices, I do think we need more smaller system sets. Between mechs, microfighters, battle packs, and the like, we really only get gimmick sets for the below $30 price point these days. The $10 Mando bike is a great step in the right direction.

TFA Wave:

First Order Star Destroyer ($14.99): Kylo Ren

Poe Dameron's X-wing mech ($14.99): Poe Dameron (pilot)

First Order Battle Pack ($19.99): 2x First Order Stormtrooper, 1x First Order Heavy trooper, 1x First Order Stormtrooper officer (with pauldron). Comes with the Assault Walker from the hasbro toy.

Rey's Speeder ($9.99): Rey

First Order Snowspeeder ($34.99): First Order snowspeeder, smaller than the 2015 version.

First Order TIE Fighter ($49.99): 1x First Order TIE Pilot, General Hux, and a First Order Heavy Trooper

Poe Dameron's Black One X-wing Starfighter ($54.99): Comes with Poe Dameron, a resistance technician, BB-8, General Leia, and a Resistance Trooper.

First Order Lander ($109.99): Comes with 4x First Order Stormtrooper, 2x First Order Flametrooper, and a First Order Technician.

Starkiller Base Battle ($139.99): Resistance X-wing, First Order Special Forces TIE Pilot, and a smallish Starkiller Base build with a small bit of snowy terrain and trees. Comes with Jess Pava, a resistance BB unit, 2x First Order Special Forces TIE Pilot, Rey, Finn, Phasma, and Kylo Ren.

Limited Edition Maz's Castle ($199.99): Maz's castle build with the full exterior shape. Includes the main courtyard with the cacophony of banners. Behind the main door is the bar, with seating in one wing and the basement with Luke's lightsaber in the other. On the second level there's some hotel-style rooms on one wing and equipment rooms on the other, with a hallway in the middle. Includes Maz, Rey, Finn, Han, Kylo, FN-2199, 2x Stormtrooper, Bazine Netal, Grummgar, ME-8D9, the Crimsom Corsair, 2x of Hassk's species, and a buildable HURID-327.

First Order Stormtrooper Bust ($59.99): First Order Stormtrooper- both the figure and bust have a pauldron

Poe Dameron's Pilot Helmet ($69.99): Poe Dameron (pilot)

Midi-Scale First Order Star Destroyer ($69.99):

UCS Black One X-wing ($239.99):  Comes with Poe Dameron (dual-molded legs, printed arms) and BB-8 (new specialized body mold with a bar hole in one side to place a 1x1 claw and candle flame in to represent his "thumbs-up")

It sounds like diorama's and helmets have been replaced with mid-scale ships and busts. Time will tell if this is the case; it could well be that they rotate each year as helmets seemingly went and then came back in 2025. I would like this solution because it would make the 18+ feel less stagnant.

With that being said, what could the busts sub-theme bring?

Phase I Clone Trooper

The Mandalorian

Stormtrooper

Darth Maul

Boba Fett

Ahsoka Tano

Scout Trooper

Not sure how they will do the human characters such as Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

I do think mid-scale ships have not got too many years left, unless they go all in on the AT-AT style mid-scale.

Mid-scale AT-TE

Mid-Scale Republic Gunship

Mid-scale Turbo Tank

Mid-scale Frigate

Mid-scale Imperial Shuttle

Mid-scale Slave One

Mid-scale AT-ST Walker

Mid-scale GR-75 Transport

Mid-scale RazorCrest

Oh, with the idea that things at the scale of the falcon or AT-AT can be made midi-scale, and already seeing models like the Acclamator, there's so many options. Even aside from all yours:

Midi-Scale Lucrehulk Cruiser

Midi-Scale MTT

Midi-Scale Republic Dropship and AT-OT

Midi-Scale Banking Clan Cruiser

Midi-Scale Jedi Starfighter in Hyperdrive Booster Ring

Midi-Scale Death Star

Midi-Scale Cloud City

Midi-Scale Nebuleon-B Medical Frigate

Midi-Scale Liberty Cruiser

Midi-Scale Star Destroyer (No idea how we haven't had a normal ISD yet)

Midi-Scale Chimera with Hyperdrive Booster

Midi-Scale Death Star 2

Midi-Scale AT-M6

Midi-Scale FO Star Destroyer

Midi-Scale Snoke's Capital Ship

Midi-Scale Xyston-Class Star Destroyer

Midi-Scale The Ghost

TLJ Wave: Maybe my least favorite movie, but has one of my favorite ship designs with the resistance bomber. Very WW2 inspired.

TFA Wave:

Resistance Bomber Microfighter ($14.99): Finch Dallow

Praetorian Guard Mech ($14.99): Praetorian Guard (That third helmet type they've never made)

Battle of Crait Pack ($19.99): 2x First Order Snowtrooper (I honestly think snowtrooper is a misnomer and it's more of an enviro-suit since we know the normal FO troopers have poor environmental filters), 2x Resistance Trooper. Build is a small trench with a P-tower turret.

Rey's Training ($9.99): Rey and Luke Skywalker. Build is a small area with turntables and a function to slice the rock in half.

Resistance Ski Speeder ($34.99): Finn (headset), Poe Dameron (Headset), First Order Heavy Trooper

First Order AT-ST ($54.99): Actually has a head this time, but with a function to remove it. Comes with Finn (disguised), Captain Phasma (battle damaged), BB-8, a Stormtrooper Executioner, and a First Order Walker Driver

Throne Room Duel ($54.99): In the style of the Peridea set. Comes with Kylo Ren, Rey, Snoke, and 2x Praetorian Guard (the two helmet types from the 2019 battle pack)

TIE Silencer ($69.99): Downsized from the oversized 2017 model. Comes with Kylo Ren, BB-9E, and a First Order Special Forces TIE Pilot

First Order AT-M6 ($179.99): Slight size increase from the 2017 model. Comes with 2x First Order Walker Driver, General Hux, 1x First Order Snowtrooper Captain, 2x First Order Stormtrooper, Chewbacca, and 1x Resistance Trooper

Limited Edition Resistance Bomber ($199.99): Very large resistance bomber with Finch Dallow, Nix Jerd, Paige Tico, 1x Resistance Flight Engineer, 1x Resistance Gunner, BB-8, Admiral Ackbar, and General Leia.

Praetorian Guard Bust ($59.99): Praetorian Guard (The wide-brimmed helmet type.)

First Order Stormtrooper Helmet ($69.99): First Order Stormtrooper

Midi-Scale AT-M6 ($69.99):

UCS TIE Silencer ($239.99):  Kylo Ren (arm printing and side leg printing), BB-9E

Love these ideas.

I actually think the Sequels will benefit downscaling as most won’t want or need re-releases of the sets but they could be tempted with smaller, more affordable versions.

The Tie Silencer and the Resistance Bomber are my favourite designs in all of the Sequels.

Sadly I cannot see an up-scaled Bomber ever - more likely to see a smaller version! I could see a red mid-scale version, though.

Thanks, yours too.

Absolutely (though plenty of kids or newer fans probably don't have the OGs. I know personally I parted out my Poe's X-wing as a kid and wouldn't mind a new one)- the sequel sets were made in an era where a number of them were just oversized (TIE Silencer, some of the X-wings, etc. Arguably the TIE Dagger though I'm not as certain on that one- it may just have been overpriced).

I think they're the best ones- my favorite is personally Poe's X-wing, but it's not really unique enough to be considered it's own design- it's a slightly modified X-wing. The bomber and silencer are definitely the best original designs. The bomber especially gives off WW2 aircraft vibes despite fitting very well into the star wars aesthetic.

I agree that at this moment in time, where we've had two sequel sets in a half-decade, it's very unlikely. But if we can just start getting a few sequel sets, I would say the bombe is one of the most likely options. There are so many people I know who consider it the best design of the sequels by far- I feel like there is an audience there. Even a lot of people who sharply criticize the sequels (and when it comes to TLJ, I'm absolutely one of them) begrudgingly admit the bomber's a cool design.

TROS Wave, then we can get to the spinoffs and shows:

TIE Whisper Microfighter ($14.99): Kylo Ren

BB-8 Mech ($14.99): BB-8 and a First Order Stormtrooper.

Eternal Empire Battle Pack ($19.99): 2x Sith Trooper, 1x Treadspeeder Driver, 1x FO Jet Trooper. Build is a Treadspeeder.

Interstellar Duel: Rey vs Kylo Ren ($9.99): Small builds for Kylo's trophy room and the Kijimi street with Rey and Kylo Ren.

Resistance Skiff ($34.99): The sand blue skiff with Triangular Fuelage. Comes with Poe Dameron (desert outfit), Finn, C-3PO, and a First Order Jet Trooper.

Resistance B-wing ($69.99): Aftab Ackbar, Snap Wexley, and a Caphex Spy

TIE Whisper ($69.99): Kylo Ren, a Final Order Technician, and Ochi of Bestoon

Poe's X-wing vs TIE Dagger ($109.99- downsized from 2020 versions): Poe Dameron (Pilot), R2-D2, Lando (Old), Sith Jet Trooper, Final Order Pilot? (They seem to be confirmed to exist but I can't find a visual of them)

Night Buzzard: Knights of Ren Transport ($119.99- in a twist, oversized a good deal from the 2020 version): Includes Vicrul, Trudgen, Apl'ek, Cardo, Ushar, and Kuruk, as well as Kylo Ren and Boolio.

Limited Edition: Xyston-class Star Destroyer ($199.99): Comes with General Pryde, 2x Final Order Technician, 2x Final Order Officer, 2x Sith Trooper, and 2x Sith Jet Trooper.

Jet Trooper Bust ($59.99): Jet Trooper

Sith Trooper Helmet ($69.99): Sith Trooper

Midi-Scale Xyston-Class Star Destroyer ($69.99):

UCS TIE Whisper ($239.99): Kylo Ren (printed arms) and Rey (Printed Arms)

All these are needed. It’s the most under-represented movie in LEGO, there’s some absolute bangers here regardless of the overall sentiment of the movie.

Think you need a Sith Sovereign Protector in there, though…somewhere!

I do think we need a counterpart to the Battle Droid with STAP set.

I know LEGO cancelled the technic, action figure style AT-RT with Clone Trooper along with the separate Super Battle Droid a while back, but that could be a winner. If not, a Clone Trooper with BARC speeder would give the display a horizontal dimension that I would welcome.

I would also like to see a buildable Grievous.

Agree with @Mandalorianknight’s above post. Mid-Scale Landmarks etc would work well and I would like to see a Death Star II, Jedi Temple, and a Cloud City.

I really wish lego would make a new commander battle droid, they clearly have the machines to print on droid torsos and heads, so I don't see why they haven't included one in a single set since 2015

All these are needed. It’s the most under-represented movie in LEGO, there’s some absolute bangers here regardless of the overall sentiment of the movie.

Think you need a Sith Sovereign Protector in there, though…somewhere!

Agreed.

Yeah, realistically there should be an Exegol set, I just feel like I do one every TROS wave so I thought I'd mix it up a bit. Maybe the mech could be for the Sovereign Protector rather than BB-8.

I think those would both work well. Maybe a $240ish price pointed UCS set including both of them.
