MrSizeable Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 This looks insane, I find this to easily be the best adaptation of the aw 101 - I’m experimenting with a way to get the original 5 blades on a frame that fits the model, and actually try and build it - could you share the studio file with me if possible? Raymember Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Saw this topic and that helicopter is something I still wanna build for my collection. Is there someone who build it already? Or is the studio file available so I can build a real model from that? Quote
BlackTaifun Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 the helicopter is really great. Is there a way to purchase the .io file? greetings from Switzerland Quote
Berthil Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I've build it! @Chrismo72 thank you for sending the Stud.io file! It was necessary to make structural changes and (non-existing) part replacements but managed to do so without losing the well designed details of Chrismo72, I'm very pleased with the final result. The structural integrity is very good and I added a stand to the model. I was able to eliminate studs on the outside but for the ones who like the studs under the windows, part 33909 (modified tile 2 x 2 with studs on edge) can be used instead of a regular 2 x 2 tile. All in all it was very much work and with the approval of Chrismo72, the building instruction is available on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-211814/Berthil/sar-queen-helicopter/ @Chrismo72 thank you again for designing and making the Stud.io file available and am looking forward to your version in real bricks! Chrismo72 Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 This turned out great :-) You have done a magnificent job!! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Looks great for a SAR helicopter. Red and orange are rather interchangable for rescue. Quote
Memo5378 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) Finally finished it as well. I thought for a while that I’d be the first one to publish it, lol. It took me a while to fetch a few parts and I reworked a few section to make them more stable/playable, making the building process for a little more than 2 years. The reworked sections are the hoist, the cockpit and the lower portion of the fuselage and undercarriage. Let me know what you think. Still trying to figure out how to add more than one bad picture. https://www.instagram.com/p/DLyQLiYpP-A/?igsh=ZDRvZ21vYXI3d2F5 Edited July 6 by Memo5378 Quote
Elysiumfountain Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Great work! I love sky background, it accentuates the action shots! Quote

Flickr is a popular site for this, among others. Eurobricks isn't meant to host anything but your avatar, AFAIK. Quote
Fabi_Bo Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Hello, i really like your AW101, nice shaping and details, cool color scheme.
