I do wonder if that lady in the ideas shirt is just a 'generic' figure, or is actually a reference to one designer/ staff at the Ideas team? I take it the guy in red plaid shirt is the designer? Lyichir Posted May 26 Author Posted May 26 Apparently the June Build-a-Mini figs will include Dreamzzz themed figures again, and this time Mr. Oz has a light royal blue/bright light blue Classic Space torso (the one that had been rumored for the cancelled Game Island Tower set). Doesn't look like helmet or airtanks are included, but if the arrival of dark blue helmet and airtanks this year is any indication we might expect those at some point too (at which point it'll be a great opportunity for those who have opted to take the "Everyone is Awesome" set and make it space-themed). Quote
icm Posted May 26 Posted May 26 @danth You probably know this already, but the Nightmare Shark Submarine has a lot of trans dark pink windscreens and bricks that would make it a good parts pack for, I dunno, a Nightmare Shark Spaceship or some cyberpunk sci-fi faction. Duckbricks and Austrian Brick Fan both have good reviews up. Quote

Lego, just give us the complete bright light blue space already!!! Quote

I love getting new windscreens in trans pink and trans purple, one of these days I'll motivate myself to come up with some more Lego Movie 2 "Systar System" MOCs since I loved the aesthetic of that faction. If they did that, people would complain that the hunt for classic space figures would be too easy... Or, given that two new colours are appearing in complete form in the Ideas gumball machine, that there are too many and it's far too common. I hope we get air tanks and helmet soon. Are there even any other style of helmet in this colour? Quote

Are there even any other style of helmet in this colour? So far, we are getting 2 and a half classic space: teal, gold, and parts of light bright blue. However, we already know of three others out there in the depths of outer space waiting to land in our planet: lime, dark azure, and magenta. It is only a matter of time. It should only be. After all, these missing colors fulfill special niches in the spectrum of amazing colors. Quote

Don't forget we still have two other incomplete colors: Light bluish gray (though you could just use old gray parts but I'm one who likes consistency) and Dark bluish gray (Needs the torso and tanks.) Well, by that logic, we will also be needing to complete dark orange, and pearl dark gray. Both of which are missing helmet and torso. Quote
danth Posted June 4 Posted June 4 There's a new angular windscreen piece in the leak of the latest SW Snowspeeder. It might even be in trans yellow with black printing. Or maybe it's just clear over yellow parts. Regardless, it'll be nice for Space MOCs if we get it in cool trans colors. Quote
icm Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Yeah, I'm looking forward to a lot of Blacktron builds with this new windscreen. I'd rather have a standard ESB Snowspeeder with the new windscreen, though. Quote
RichardGoring Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Was nearby a LEGO Store today so went in and got some of the new Dreamzzz figures, including the bright light blue space torsos and legs. It's somewhat frustrating to have to get new hands. Does anyone off-hand know if any current production torsos are available with bright light blue hands, except the monochrome one (6368622)? Quote

Bricklink has you covered: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=983&colorID=105&in=A The only other current fig that has them is Bandit from the largest Bluey set, though. And I think the monochrome one is probably cheaper. Quote

The Bluey torso doesn't interest me, but I thought I'd see if there was a more versatile option. Can't believe how rare it is. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) New sci-fi set alert! From the 'Exploring the Cosmos' challenge on Ideas, 40789 Flying Moon Car has 211 parts, and will be a LEGO Insiders Reward worth 2,500 Insiders Points. It will be available on July 1st. Thoughts? Personally, I am sad it is a Insiders exclusive. I guess I'll have to part it out and make it that way... Edited June 26 by Murdoch17 Quote
Space78 Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Interesting, but not worth 2,500 points to me. Fun little set, though! Quote
Black Falcon Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Hmm, to me the figures don´t fit in that well. The space vehicle is designed to look like based on an old car, and the minifigures on the other side wear modern suits - not saying classic space would fit better though. Quote
Space78 Posted June 26 Posted June 26 The vehicle look a bit like a Star Wars vehicle you'd find on Curuscant, though they don't seem to wear helmets in those vehicles. Quote
danth Posted June 26 Posted June 26 The helmets and bald heads ruin it. They look terrible! The original had the real fish bowl helmets with hair. These pieces are still in production so Lego had no excuse here. They just cheaped out. Quote

I don't like the torsos either, and will replace the figures with the retro space CMF figures, which will fit really nicely with this. Quote

Since it is a set for Insiders points, I won´t get it anyways, but if I would, I would switch them out for real helmets for sure. 2 hours ago, danth said: The original had the real fish bowl helmets with hair. All those sets are retired, but it's still available as a Bestseller on Pick a Brick, so really no excuse. https://www.lego.com/en-us/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=39696 I might get four of them to have a bit of flexibility, in case I end up with different figures in there.
