Toyota AE86 Initial-D Instruction publish!

This is my first buwizz creation. Toyota AE86 initial-D drift machine

Allmost other AE86 mocs are small scale but this is 1:10 scale large model and even that size, model can still drifting.

Mechanisem is secret now but I will make video and instruction soon. Now I thinking how to take video.

I use custom made part for some part because studio don't have PF switch and 44777 pure plastic wheel.

The interior was not put in because the secret mechanism occupied almost the entire center of the vehicle.

Motor used

2 L for driving

2 servo for steering(cause one motor's power is not enough)

1 servo, 1 switch, 1 light for pop-up headlight

1 Buwizz

I love Initial D. While the 86 sure is recognizable, it looks pretty rough all around. The details are just not there.

I guess the secret  mecanism will lift the rear wheels of the car a little and use differnt wheels under the car to go sideways? There is no way you'd be able to break tracktion on these wheels with just 2L motors i think. I am looking forward to your video!

As Gray gear said, the car is recognizable, but the B pillar seem odd to me. As if they were too angled, making the roof not wide enough.
I Also want to now, how is this suposed to drift, because, looking at it, most of the weight seems to be on the rear of the car...
And I was wondering if you implemented suspension in your build ?

I like the Drifting action, it looks like a whole lot of fun 

Working pop-up headlights are cool, but I think they could be improved. Yours kinda open like a door, but on the real car they more like "roll" up.

I feel like you are having lots of fun and talent implementig technic functions, but don't really like doing bodywork

That’s totally me  I love the technical aspect of this car! The bodywork could be improved, but I am not one to judge since I couldn’t do better.

Looks like fun.

Also kinda looks looks like bad CGI in a cheap movie.  But in a good way. 

I can't help feeling like it looks like an early 80s futuristic syfi movie. But I can't think with one.

That 44777 pure plastic wheel with minifig arm combination is to much expensive, rare(include only 2 set) and weak so I made 3D print wheel for this model.

And looks much better and cheaper than buy 44777 wheel!

I printed it using black pilament so it will not wear.

Interesting concept for the "drift" mechanism, certainly reminds me of some toys I had, although there it was used to "automate" the movement, so that it would turn whenever it hit an obstacle (low-tech Roomba). This certainly has it charm though, and most likely quite fun to play too, not to mention much easier to control and reliable than "normal" lego drift cars 

The bodywork could use some refining though, but is very much recogniseable The wheel rims idea is great, might steal that one for future use

I inspired by hot wheels ken block ford fiesta drift rc.

And this type of drift drive has one more advantage. In addition to the advantage of easy operation, this method can make the size of the vehicle much larger than that of a typical lego drifting vehicle.

Come to think of it, I don't think there was an RC pop-up headlight. When I looked it up on Google, all of them were manual.

I just meant that your MOC is the only one I've seen with remotely controlled pop-up headlights, not that the original Toyota did. This is correct, right?
