legomanijak Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 (edited) The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft. A historical documentary I saw on TV inspired me to build this aircraft in particular. It features retractable landing gear and just enough space to fit a minifig head inside the cockpit. The main colour of the fighter is Dark bluish gray while the underside of the plane is mostly done in Light bluish gray. meliander Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Amazing work! I love how the underside is polished, too. Quote

That was the the only part of the plane which actually sorted itself out pretty quickly, every other thing (wings, front, back, cockpit, landing gear...) required a lot of planing and experimenting in order to make it work. 5 minutes ago, Dardanel said: I'm loving this, especially the cockpit! Glad you like it :) Quote

jimmynick Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 You've done a great job getting the contours on this and I'm doubly impressed you've managed to fit a minifig head inside the cockpit! Lovely, thanks for sharing. Quote
