MP LEGO Technic creations Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 I have added some "filling to the sides", improved the rear bumper and reworked some other parts of the car. The front grid is now "chrome" (from 42083 Chiron set). Quote
astyanax Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I keep coming back to this entry. It's just so lovely! And it's seems you've increased realism by getting it extra dusty... Quote
Tomik Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I like curves of this roadster. I also like the style of your color pictures - they have so vivid colors and parts look like they are chromed. Quote
Mechbuilds Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 It's coming off great! Only needs a hood. Quote

Yes, hood and front grill and it's finished. 23 hours ago, astyanax said: I keep coming back to this entry. It's just so lovely! Thank you! I'm really delighted that so much people like it. Quote

Mechbuilds Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 That's so amazing. So much stuff packed inside a little package. Quote
Rudivdk Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 As other said before, beautiful lines all around! That steering mechanism is very nice and compact, I will have to remember that one. Quote
agrof Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 (edited) Very stylish, I like it a lot! Both the steering and the drivetrain are as genious as simple they are. Edited May 11, 2020 by agrof Quote

I wanted to steer without any gears. So that's the solution. No gears, no problems. 14 hours ago, agrof said: Very stylish, I like it a lot! In this small size you need to build simple mechanisms (Too many gears make a wobbly effect and if you overengineer it, there could be a terrible noise while driving, it could get stuck an lot of another). 1980SomethingSpaceGuy Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) I'm not a big fan of the front bumper nor the stance of the radiator and I liked the all orange theme better. But I love the lines, the steering and transmission. Simple yet realistic. Very elegant. Great model altogether! Edited May 12, 2020 by 1980SomethingSpaceGuy Quote

Yes, the front bumper was quite difficult to create (it was too long so the wheels couldn't turn or it was too short and it didn't look very well) I had to find the correct shape, lenght and place.
