Thanks for making another contest! It's always a great motivation to build something!

So let's begin! 

Here's my inspiration from dark dark ages

And here's what I got for now.

Hahaha, yeah! But it's never too late to build another car :) 

Really I don't like ordinary casual cars, super cars, boring cars and other similar stuff where Lego technic is going latest years. 

I'm in scifi and fantasy stuff mostly

Thanks! Actually I have lot of DBG so I have to recycle it somewhere :D

Rear for sure, on pictures was an initial sketch of basic chassis.

steering done, antenna as HoG

 

 

3 cylinder engine done - powered by rear axle differential (by rubber band)

 

 

It's a bit messy now but it will be fixed later. It's still a sketch.

This is shaping up nicely! It really looks like a VW Beetle, I'm not so sure if you should 'stig-o-sore' it, I fear it will not be an improvement to the fluid design it currently has...

I agree. Keep the clean lines.

The antenna as HOG is perfect.

Yeah, I'll probably go with clean design. Stig was just an inspiration to build something similar but not exact copy.

a bit of space for spare wheel, front need now more attention. I'm not sure if "seat panels" will stay here.

The blue details on the black/DBG body give a 'Jackson Storm' feel, I like it a lot (see Cars III movie for reference).

I like it, but without those blue things.

I like the blue lines, but indeed, it would worth to try with black pneumatic tubes. Also, I prefer the Front Right with the connector #1 (the reddish brown one) for the flex axle, it looks much smoother on the right, than on the left.

I'm not sure about this blue hoses, but probably they will stay, I just found it in a box with blue stuff and I have never used them before :)

Pneumatic tubes are too fat unfortunately and it look too bulky (already tried) 

Yeah, front is still in progress and all stuff there is just a sketch and rather guide. Finally there will be DBG #1 connectors but first I have to find them. (btw. This one on pic is "Dark Brown") 

All in all I have to remove panels from front hood because they cause lot of problems like even width. Probably I'll use more #21 and #22 tiny panels to shape hood.
