Check this modern tank. It is not a model of some real tank but I think it don't looks bad.

One of the most difficult challenges were to build the suspension strong enough and to make the turret with gun elevating system only three studs height.

Propulsion: 2X PF XL motor, turret rotation: PF M motor, gun elevation: PF M motor
