Somehow blue one us the most beautiful if them all, but since I work (occasionally) on white U216-218 with shorter wheelbase (24 studs) and batmobile tires...and it will be full manual. You showed me that even little MOC (and manual) can be very nice.

Really like your Unimogs

Thanks @I_Igor, I got a lot of ideas from you, and hopefully some of mine will help you. Glad you like this, and my other Unimogs.

Ouyeah! This is it! Such a clean build! I love the way you moved the winch controls to the middle - perfectly camouflaged! Tipping mechanism is also very efficient, mine is more crude and I don't have actual conecton of the bed with the lifting "ram", it just pushes it up... I like the blue version the most!

What did you mena by center PTO?

And most important - no imposter syndrom going on at all - we worked on same/similar model at the same time, but with different approaches. I can easily say, that your bild looks much cleaner and all the functions are way betterl thought off and part usage is really optimised. Great job! As from the begining of my get-back to LEGO, your models are still an inspiration!

Best regards!

Miha

Yeah, I'm being a little overdramatic as you build and mine were doing different things. As with @I_Igor, the ideas that went back and forth for all these MOGs has been helpful for each others.

The center of the chassis as a gear to connect an implement, so a center PTO. This will be what powers the (eventual) salt spreader.

I've said it and will say it again: This is just brilliant.

One question: Why did you choose white 1x1 plates instead of tiles for the reversing lights?

@Rudivdk In my opinion, this is worthy for hall of fame ;-)

Hi @Jundis, I don't have a 1x1 clear tile (I couldn't believe it). They will be on my next part order.

Thanks for the nomination. I'll edit the first post.

I agree, I suggest @Thirdwigg to update the first post to include the finished photos and I can make it happen

As other said, the blue version really stands out. I wanted to ask you on YouTube, but since the comments are not possible, i will ask here. Why did you not use the 8110's torque tube pieces to add more bracing to the axles?

Thanks for your help with the HOF.

Thanks for letting me know the YouTube comments are off. I'll change that. I find the 8110 torque tubes to be a little restrictive in this scale. They also got in the way of some of the PTO's and drivetrain. They're kind big at this scale.

I also like the Blue the best as well. It sets it apart from all the other Orange ones as well. The white one looks really good on my mantle, but doesn't present as well in the picture.

Well my Unimog has finished axles and after telehandler that I work on I plan to work on Unimog chassis...or something else will happen...*huh*

Great MOC indeed! I'm not a Unimog expert, so the difference between different Mog versions is lost on me, but I can still recognize a good build.

The HoF nomination is noted.

Alright, it took a little time, but I have finalized the Instructions for the U500. You may find the photo sequencing instructions on Flickr. It's a lot of this:

Additionally, you may find the partlist for the U500 on Rebrickable.

The U400 is done now as well. I am working on publishing this build which is similar to the U500 (but Orange!!!!!). I am trying to teach myself Studio, with the intent of having "real instructions" for that build. Hopefully that will come soon, but I'm a slow learner.

Enjoy!
