Thanks for the image! It's the exact thing Maul has in the lego star wars video games, it's way too close to be a coincidence. I bet he's either in the tank or the $100 set is something with maul, although

Maybe not the gauntlet fighter unless it's in the next 2 episodes, since we haven't actually seen it yet, just it's lights.

Only one I see is a low quality image of the ship.

 

As I said this increases the likelihood maul is in a set, which in turn increases the likelihood that the $100 exclusive is something from the siege of mandalore. Of course it's not close to confirmed, but I don't see any reason why they would have made a new lightsaber hilt for Monkey Kid, especially one that looks exactly like Maul's lightsaber in the lego games.

You have to gu deeper, at first there's only this image but after you go past City sets and some random garbage there are lots of pictures of Monkie Kid sets.

I would love this to be true and it can be true but it still is wishful speculation. The piece resembles perfectly what it is used for: for the staff and holding flags better. Theres no texture in it, its not dual molded (having for example black hilt with silver ends and some silver buttons in between the hilt).

Experience tells us, over the last years: we get general sets with generic figures. Only in certain situations did Lego diverge from this - and then it was mostly weird sets like the General Grevious speeder.
We get awesome 501 set; I hope for Rex - and maybe even Ahsoka and Cody. Maybe Lego will get weird again and give us someone/something less important but non of these characters.

In any case I doubt they put much faith or effort in TCW; a kind of adult show (yes it is; episodes about banks, taxes, parliamentarism, violent sociopaths like Maul, mutilation and so on...)
If we do get any of those - or even more characters; Id be pleasently surprised of course. Maul was already in the activity book btw. Maybe they wanted to throw it in for us - maybe it was a coincidence.

only positive clue: for generic figures, they wouldn't need much print/mold budget so they'd only benefit from making random sets more attracktive for hardcore fans and potential new fans.
...but then again in the past they sometimes used that molding for random things like the monkey's from Solo or like so many molds for Rogue One soldiers.
....and we already got Anakin+Obi Wan in a cheap set. So either a repeat or another important figure... - maybe Yoda again

I just wish I'd have picked up that stupid Barc-speeder with an awesome Rex on sale years ago

I definitely hope this means we'll get a Siege of Mandalore set with Maul and this new hilt piece but I love the Maul from the book, if that's all we get I'm happy. I do hope that long hilt is remolded in pearl silver pretty quickly regardless.

Considering almost the entire Monkey Kid wave leaked, which I believe is also scheduled for an August release (correct me if I'm wrong there), I would guess it can't be too long until we get at least some blurry preliminary images of the AAT, AT-AT, Night Buzzard, and Anakin's fighter.

Ah. I don't actually have an instagram, I've just been using google to get there, and it doesn't let you scroll down more than 10 or so rows without signing in. Looks like it's time to get an instagram.

Maybe. Most leaking themes have been lego's own IP, the licensed stuff for june still hasn't leaked.

These sorts of leaks come from (usually small European or Asian) resellers who load the images into their server once they receive them LEGO. If the reseller’s identity had not been broadcast to the world when these pics were first discovered, more photos might have been mined from the reseller’s site before LEGO shut it down.  But unfortunately certain “leakers” don’t think these things through in the rush to be first. So at this point you just have to wait to see if another reseller does the same.

If you use uBlock Origin, you can use it to block all the pieces of the pop-up and keep scrolling.

@BigGuy4U, excellent, thank you for this suggestion! I have been trying to get rid of the pop-up (which appears for those who don't have an account) for quite some time. Just added a couple of filters and the problem is solved now.

Don't forget the folding wings. Would be interesting to see how LEGO would approach that. To make a wing that folds almost completely closed, should be the minor task, but how to attach it to the pylons in a sturdy and not too bulky fashion? I've seen a pretty good looking one on yt. But i don't think the way how he connects the pieces would be up to LEGO's standards, not sturdy enough.

That's why I said it isn't that different. I don't know if I remember it correctly but it's just a standard TIE with folding wings

What set does the silver hilt come in? I only see gold and dark gray

It was a close up blurry image on IG pointing it out, I’m not sure which set it is, it was attached to some sort of banner I think

The only set with banners attached to the larger hilt (at least as far as I know) is the smallest one but those are dark gray

The post said it was silver but I suppose they could be wrong. It’s blurry so it’s not easy to make out the exact colors

I've seen some pretty hi-res pictures of the sets and I'm pretty sure there is no silver hilt. We'll have to wait and see I guess

Jang's video on the setpictures is still up but I only see gold and dark gray hilts. But please correct me if I'm wrong

And landing gear. In flight mode it's not too different from a normal TIE, but it's got a prominent landing sequence in the show, where it's very different. And we've had 4 x-wings in 6 years so another normal-ish TIE fighter soon after one in 2018 wouldn't be that unlikely.

They don't necessarily need a ground-based set to make the full beskar version of Mando, he also wears it when he goes after Gideon with his jetpack

That is true, but I wonder if they would base a set like this more around the arrival of Gideon and his troops, or the final battle and perhaps include a better Darksaber than we got in the clone wars sets

LEGO usually sells TIE Fighters for around $80 so adding the cantinabuilding would make it around $100, I doubt many people would buy that.

As for the Darksaber I think the Clone Wars version is the best we'll get, I wouldn't be surprised if they just give us a black katana
