Yeah, there is one. It's easier to check because the update announcements are front and center, whereas on the thread they can sometimes get buried in other comments if you don't check often enough.

Yea I noticed I somehow missed the December update. Downloaded it and not sure what I did wrong but now all minifigure decorations are messed up. (Seems the June Update fixes it but like you said it might be bugged since it didn't fix it for me nor did I get the new parts)

They changed the format so that a single image can be used to decorate all sides of a piece, but they haven't updated all the decorations to match yet. Or at least, they hadn't updated them yet in that particular update. The June update might've finally done it.

Hmm... looks like the latest update isn't on there yet. Wonder what's going on.

Perhaps a question that's already been answered a few times already, but is it normal that the various new materials/colors do show up in the color chart .lxf, allowing them to be color-picked, but don't appear in the paint tool's menu?

If this isn't normal, where should I start looking for what's going wrong?

EDIT: Bluerender also doesn't like rendering the new colors if I try and render the color chart, it seems.

EDIT2: Ah, this was already addressed by someone else: the key is to delete the original LDDExtended.lif, which usually overrides the custom one.

EDIT3: Bluerender still doesn't quite like the new colors, though (throws a null pointer exception when it tries to start rendering). Seems to be the opalescent materials that it has trouble with, solid colors render fine. If anyone knows a fix for that, I'd appreciate it.

EDIT4: Okay, so turns out the fix for that is editing your bublible_materials.sc, using your Materials.xml as a reference.

I have a question about the new parts packs. Are these separated from the main update because, like the sticker packs, they're likely to cause conflicts with parts added in future normal updates?

Posted

So I DM'd Stephen regarding the June 11th update and why there aren't any new parts this is what they replied

Quote

Hello! That's correct. This is merely a preview. The actual update will be released on July 27th. The early access is for Tiered Patreon members only. 'Official' release will be July 27th. That's why you're not seeing new parts and adjusted decorations.

Understandable but a bit odd considering the 11th update has download links. If it was early access there shouldn't  be any download links?

It looks to me like all these parts and decorations are included in the forthcoming main update as well and it's another form of early access.

Wow, that's like six and a half weeks. That's much longer than I was assuming the early access period was, but I'm glad to hear that everything's on track and it was just a breakdown in communication.

Personally, I would've mentioned the release date (and the fact that it was in the future) in the announcement itself. 'Cause just writing "not available" on an actual working and entirely available download link which is labeled as if it were indeed the update mentioned in the post, but is actually just a duplicate of the previous update is super confusing.

(To clarify: I'm much more happy and relieved than I am frustrated. The thing I'm frustrated about is just made out of more words).

Hundreds of well done new parts! But I would like to note that the following items listed on the website are not in the files: 1580, 3862, 5975, 5990, 6324, 18843, 37407, 80682, 102291, and the complete assembly files are not included for large molded dinosaur components: 38943, 103471, 103472, 106616.

EDIT: Trying to use these parts I've found some bugs with connectivity. The larger Speed Champions F1 wheel 110100 doesn't accept a stud connection to attach hubcaps, 1761 has no connection points or collisions, and none of the minidoll torsos and leg assemblies will connect to each other including the existing legs (part 20379) that worked previously. The two large minidoll dress pieces have not inherited this problem so I have to conclude that the trouble is with the hip joint. More to follow as I check them more thoroughly

EDIT 2: The trigger element for generation 2 stud shooters has lost connectivity with the shooter housing

Hi, i just installing (well copy&pasting to be exact :)) the lastest Complete LDD update package to the freshly installed LDD 4.3.11 and have a few question :

1. So after doing the extracting, unziping, etc, i just need to copy everything from the unziped LDD New Parts/LEGO Digital Designer/db to the original /db folder on /C right?

2. For /Palettes content, did i also need to rename the original LDD.lif & LDDExtended.lif to something else after extraction like the original db.lif?

3. /2020NewPreColoredParts is copied to the original /Palettes folder right? alongside the updated /LDD & /LDDExtended folder.

4. What about /Aditional,Optional Palettes? if i want to use it did i need to copy the whole folder as it is to /Palettes or did i need to copy the separate folder inside /Aditional,Optional Palettes to /Palattes? (ex: /10318Concorde, /31210ModernArt, etc → /Palettes).

5. So far most new part seems to load fine, except Part#: 99114 Mini Upper Part W/15MM Arms, wich missing both upper arm (both --C finger floating). Also, Lego Friends minifig torso and legs seem unable to be snaped together. Is it known bug or did i miss to install some updates or other thing?

Thx.

Whoo-wie, five rars worth of content! A veritable colossus. Looks like most of the bugs with the new torsos have been ironed out too.

Very cat-centric, I notice. Was that a creative decision, or did it just sorta work out that way?

Welcome to the forum, here are more details regarding your questions.

1. This is correct, just remember to manually update the “DecorationMapping.xml” each time an LDD Update is installed as this file can be customised to add custom decorations.

2. This is correct too, perhaps just save the two files elsewhere without renaming them, they must now be stored in a separate folder as LDD will always attempt to read any “.lxf” files before any extracted folders.

3. This is correct, it will become a new folder under the “Palettes” folder and is accessed via LDD Mindstorms.

4. For “Aditional, Optional Palettes”, please copy and paste the separate folders inside to the “Palettes” folder, then access them via LDD Mindstorms too.

5. It is quite common to find errors for new LDD Updates upon release, just check back the Update Website and this topic for further news.

P.S., there is also a new combined method to fully install LDD on Windows as linked below, which might help solve further issues along the way, hope it will be useful too.

Oh, thank you so much for such detailed answer :)

Regarding to question 2, so i just need to move the original LDD.lxf & LDDExtended.lxf outside the /Palatte and save it somewhere else not on /C right? as its not needed anymore.

About the LDD Instalation : Is there any aditional benefit of installing from LDD 4.3.12 and manually replace its inside with 4.3.11 method (outside of circumventing flash error)? My 2nd machine (old laptop, still in windows 8) wich i installed LDD is somehow still have the flash program required that already installed, so i can just somehow fresh install 4.3.11 without any problem.

Did i need to do above step (install LDD 4.3.12 → replace its inside with 4.3.11) or did my fresh install of LDD 4.3.11 is enough?

Yes for No. 2 just save the files elsewhere like the original “db” folder but do not delete them so this is essentially just backing them up elsewhere, in fact it is highly recommended to do the same for all LDD programme files which are replaced with an unlocked version in case they are needed again.

Regarding the perfect method to install LDD, there are two simple rules to follow.

1. “LDD Version 4.3.11” will always be the best installer to use (since “LDD Version 4.3.12” removes the Flash Player requirement but has other issues), any old PCs with an existing, unaltered original LDD installation can directly install Custom LDD Updates.

2. On modern PCs, there are now two options. If Flash Player is not available, always use the perfect method. Alternatively, try to properly install Flash Player, then install “LDD Version 4.3.11” and Custom Updates.

Without the perfect method or installing “LDD Version 4.3.11” directly, LDD is not listed as a properly installed programme in the Settings or Control Panel and the additional Start Menu Folder and Desktop Shortcut are not generated. Minor issues include missing non-essential programme files, LDD now runs directly from the software executable “LDD.exe” and the need to manually associate “.lxf” and “.lxfml” files with “LDD.exe”.

I have not tried the alternative method under No. 2 yet, but there is now a free programme called “Clean Flash Player” on GitHub which aims to bring it back to modern PCs, perhaps “LDD Version 4.3.11” can now be installed directly after also installing “Clean Flash Player”.

Ah, so all future updates & custom parts is built upon LDD ver 4.3.11, i see i see.

Again, thanks for the answer. Its clear most of my confusion ;)

The updated “LDD Latest Colour Files” for the July 2025 Update have just been completed, which can be downloaded from Dropbox here. Basically, the original LDD Colour Files, especially the two Name Files, contain multiple issues such as missing entries on both the English/German sides and mistranslated German Names. Although initial improvements were published officially, the latest version for the May 2024 Update was not, which is why a separate “LDD Latest Colour Files.zip” File is now maintained alongside official Custom LDD Updates. It is highly recommended to download the files and manually replace the local versions with these instead of using those supplied with the latest Custom LDD Update. Please refer to the attached “Change Log” for all details regarding what is fixed, including everything from the previous updated version (details in this old post). Thanks for stopping by and the five changes for this updated version include the following.

English Colour Names: Fixed spelling mistake of new Colour 181 Multikombination” to “Multicombination”.

German Colour Names: Fixed incorrect Colour Numbers used at the back of new Colours 31 and 32, added missing Space before the “&” for Colour 81, Colour 130 now properly translated as “Farbe Mischung” instead of “Farbenmix” from the original English Name “Colour Mix”.

Loving the latest update. Anyone knows which set the new 7674 bracket is from? Can't find anything about it online

7674.png

I was just about to ask the same question but also share that the arm used on Eggman is bugged in that the hand doesn't rotate with the arm. Also the fact that the inside of his torso is supposed to be red and not tan.

Looks like torsos in old builds are still getting deleted, though the problem is noticeably much less common now. That horrifyingly long list of possible suspects I put together a while back has gotten a heck of a lot shorter. Though for some reason I've got a couple minifigs with no neck or waist accessories that weren't holding anything that have had their torsos disappear anyway, which is a bit of a head-scratcher.

And now the satyr legs (24323) are vanishing from almost every (or possibly every) minifig that features them.
