That would need at least 4 new moulds. Too much for a D2C.

Maybe the Locket will appear latter with a Regulus minifigure. Or even with an alternate Dolores Umbridge minifigure and the Diadem could appear in a Room of Requirement set.

Not necessarily, the locket could be the medal (not ideal but could be done) and the diadem could just be a tiara

They could use a chrome silver broadsword as the Sword of Gryffindor (same piece as the 2010 Hogwarts) and they could use a regular gold goblet with a badger printed on it as Hufflepuff’s cup. I’d like to see molds for the locket and diadem and two new molds for a D2C isn’t out of the question (the Silent Mary had two new molds).

So Voltron is one of the VIP early access sets. Hope the other one is Hogwarts

The other one is definitely the Creator Expert car, which is hinted to be an Aston Martin with a James Bond licence.

The earliest possible date of D2C Hogwarts' release is september. In that case it could be officially revealed on July 31, Harry Potter's birthday, but that's just my wishful thinkng, don't take my words for granted :classic:

Yes. It will be like with Ninjago Movie last year:

  • CMF: August 1st
  • normal Sets: August 1st
  • D2C: September 1st (VIP-release: mid of August)

Those are both total wastes of early VIP access. Especially the car. It should be HP

I think that's so that it can be made of hard plastic, which is for the best imo as the print easily rubs off of the rubber parts if you handle them too much.

Ohhhh, that makes a lot of sense.

In the states, sure but not everyone is from the states.

I think the car is a good use of early access, it worked for the min the past. HP might be in too high demand, casing them to be under stocked by the official release something which blew up in their faces for the UCS Century eagle.

What’s the point of being a VIP if I only get early access to useless sets?

Well to huge fans of Voltron and James Bond/Aston Martin, they are not useless

They may be useless to you but not to everyone. The point of being VIP is really the reward points. VIP early access isn't really a blockade for anyone. If you try and buy a set that is VIP during early access they just sign you up real quick.

Normally I would suggest the Entertainer's online store, which sells a box's worth for £300, but I doubt they'd stock Harry Potter CMFs due to the owner's personal beliefs.  I guess eBay might be an option.

Nope, they typically don't stock "occult" products and they include Harry Potter in that.

It's not useless. A lot of us are looking forward to those sets.

I was there yesterday and they stock the top trumps and trivial pursuit. They trust Lego as a brand so will very likely stock them. They do go back on their beliefs sometimes though; they didn’t stock Doctor Who products for about 5 years, but returned to stocking them

Yes. In Germany for example we have to wait a month longer.:hmpf_bad:

I've not been in one for years, but it used to be the case - they didn't sell the previous LEGO HP ranges. Also they removed the witches and the vampires from CMF S2. I don't know if they sold S14.

That's legit the lamest thing I've ever heard

I went there a while ago to ask if they had any and as soon as I said HP they said no.

That's just the way the brand operates, based on the owner's beliefs. They don't stock things they disagree with, and they don't open on Sundays or bank holidays.

It might seem unusual, but they've survived as a national toy store when Toys R Us couldn't. They even have more branches than Toys R Us did before they went bankrupt.
