Evilkirk Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) His High Exaltedness the Great Jabba the Hutt's custom built heavy-fighter, named by Jabba himself as ''Choba Mafa'' (Huttese for 'My Final Offer') - Translation source: http://www.completewermosguide.com/huttnoncanondictionary.html . One of the head Sienar designers was 'forcefully employed' to oversee the creation of this ship (he mysteriously vanished after it was completed) and it was officially dubbed the QQRIE Fighter (Quin+Quad Retrothrust Ion Engines), more simply pronounced as a 'Cry Fighter'. There is a turret on the underside (turns 360 degrees with vertical movement for all cannons) which is reluctantly manned by Bib Fortuna himself (cheekily nicknamed 'the Belly turret' by one of Jabba's mechanics who has since also vanished) + no self respecting Hutt travels anywhere without at least one AstroChef droid to keep the snacks flowing wherever they go. The ship is armed with 2 x powerful twin laser canons mounted just inside of the solar fin joints with twin ion canons and proton torpedo tubes fitted on either side of the cockpit. The turret features a front quad laser canon with an ion cannon on one side and a large rear mounted 'beam canon' around the other side. There are 4 shield emitters mounted on the cockpit roof and the interior is gravity + climate controlled perfectly for a Hutt's comfort. Inside the cockpit area there are various vessels for holding snacks and munchies with a small integrated kitchenette at the rear for the Astrochef (MN-Chi-1) to do his work. The overhead control arms are specially designed to compensate for a Hutt's lack of reach + there are additional levers built into the side recess which are controlled by his tail. I hope you guys like it! Edited June 29, 2017 by Evilkirk Quote
Azrielsc Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 This is definitely unique! Never imagined Jabba to have a TIE fighter variant with such am amenities ! "Belly Turret" - Hahaha! Quote
badgerboy Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 What a wonderful idea! Do you think brown/rusty accents would help make it feel more of a 'Hutt' vehicle? It's a lovely build though anyway. Quote
Evilkirk Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 Thank you! I did think of doing it in browns+tans, but: a) I wanted it to be different from the usual sail barge / desert skiff style that we know. And most importantly: b) I haven't got many nice brown/tan pieces and am currently too broke to buy some lol Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Good job! Not something I'd see Jabba do, but other then that this is great and I love it! Quote
Borex Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Jabba in a Tie. I wonder if he could do a trench run with that width. Bib would so shoot Luke his x-wing. Quote
bobasdad Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I love everything about this. It's a unique idea and a very well-built model (and your description was hilarious). Quote
TheBeeze Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I laughed a lot. A nice build though, you can see a lot of work went it. Quote
Brickdad Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Has anyone ever wondered where the toilets are on star wars ships? Or, how Jabb's does the biz? Or, is it just me and my weird mind? Quote

RetroInferno Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 The shot with Bib Fortuna in the turret genuinely made me laugh, nice job hahaha. Quote
Evilkirk Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 Thanks everyone! In answer to the toilet question... I'm afraid the astrochef droid cleans it up off the floor and after a little processing it's used as a seasoning on Jabba's next meal. Yes that's disgusting, but Hutts are generally pretty gross, vile creatures :) Quote

Lord Buckethead Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 An interesting concept, but cool nonetheless. Quote
Evilkirk Posted July 14, 2017 Author Posted July 14, 2017 This build was actually done for a Facebook group contest where they asked for MOCS of custom TIE fighters piloted by Mercenaries and other seedy characters - and they were all supposed to be working for the Hutts, so I thought why not make a TIE for Jabba to join in the shenanigans. Btw I won the contest and got a $50 gift certificate for one company's Bricklink store :) Quote
nymmerod Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 This is an awesome build. Very clever and creative. I commend you for sharing something the likes of which we've never seen before. Love it. I imagine he would have a couple of gamorrean guard wingmen in smaller custom TIEs. Quote
Evilkirk Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Thanks! I usually prefer building ships from my own imagination instead of ones that already exist in the SW universe! Hmmm I like the Gamorrean wingmen idea, I could do a whole porky chubbychops squadron lol Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Very nice MOC ...but how many G of acceleration can withstand Jabba? Quote
