TechnicRCRacer Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) Hi, I have finished the creation! Here are some photos: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Old Post Hi, This is my new MOC which I have been mostly working behind the scenes on (and waiting for BrickLink orders) and it is finally finished! I am not sure what to call it let me know if you have ideas. Hope you like it! Video coming soon. Edited July 3, 2017 by TechnicRCRacer Quote
offroadcreations Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) I like it, especially the front and back ends. Nice use of the mudguards on the back. I think that is looks like a UTE, or maybe more like a Subaru Brat. The #3 connectors on the front make it look like an old Jeep Wagoneer. I know how you feel, because I'm making something and I don't really know what it is. Edited June 25, 2017 by Offroadcreat1ons Quote
1gor Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 It has similarities with Subaru Brat...hm...perhaps you can call it Spoiled Brat pickup Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 Thanks! I don't know if it has many similarities between them, her is a pic of what inspired me to make it: Quote
1gor Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) I see, but please don't call it MR2 pickup because our French friends on this forum would not be amused with word that sounds similar to name of this Toyota model...Trust me merde which sounds similar to French spelling of MR2 is not desired as Topics title Edited June 25, 2017 by I_Igor I could not format streikthrougt for word merde...great smatphone... TechnicRCRacer Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 @I_IgorI'm not calling it that, don't worry! Quote
Paknaloid Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 It certainly looks like a Mazda to me - if you swapped out the large curved panels either side of the rear section and maybe put in something like long and thin fairing panels instead, to give it a bit of tapering? Anyway I like the aesthetic, very 1980's but in a good way Quote

mocbuild101 Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 What about: sports pick-up truck? I like the black too! Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 Umm, it was never meant to be a pickup truck, but by seeing all of the reactions, I can see some similarities. I stil don't want it to be a pickup. Quote
mocbuild101 Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Just now, TechnicRCRacer said: I still don't want it to be a pickup. You should fill the back of it up with panels then, because that's what makes it look like a pick-up. Quote

TechnicRCRacer Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 @Paknaloid I will fix the back. Thanks! Quote
Paknaloid Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 I just realised what it looks like the most - Triumph TR7! Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 (edited) Cool! I could redo the back and make it look like that! This is (basically) my first car "based on" a real car! Edited June 26, 2017 by TechnicRCRacer Quote

TechnicRCRacer Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 Working on back, pics soon! I liked the old back far better as the back of this car is much harder to build and secure, but I will try. Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 I have decided not to make it a Triumph TR7 when I tried to make the back. I decided to keep the old rear and modify it to have a rear wing. The doors have also been changed to look more realistic. I have some epic plans for the pics and video! (I hope it works out) Quote

TechnicRCRacer Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 (edited) Here's the plan: I am filming the video at night with tripod, lights, and a FOG MACHINE! This will be so much fun! If it works, pics will be done by tomorrow. Edited July 1, 2017 by TechnicRCRacer Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 I have done it! Here is a sneak peek: Quote
Paknaloid Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 @TechnicRCRacer that looks incredible!!! Do you have PF headlights fitted? Also the rear wing makes the rear end look much much better. Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 @PaknaloidNo, I do not have PF lights yet. Thanks! Quote
