mocbuild101 Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) Here are the instructions: http://www.bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/drift-racer-chassis/2WD Drift Racer Instructions.pdf And here is the 3D file: (you might need it for where to put the PF wires) http://www.bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/drift-racer-chassis/2WD Drift Racer 3D file.mpd They took longer to make than I expected (partly because of the recent competition to make the fastest Lego car!), but at least it meets the high standards I set for my instructions. All you guys on Eurobricks are getting early access to the instructions, because I won't be uploading them to Rebrickable for a few days . Edited June 29, 2017 by mocbuild101 Quote
TechnicRCRacer Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 What program did you use to make the instructions? Quote
mocbuild101 Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 Just now, TechnicRCRacer said: What program did you use to make the instructions? MLcad for making the digital model and LPub3D for turning it into PDF instructions. Note: if you want to use these programs, it's best to just download the LDraw all-in-one installer, because this includes some other programs that are essential for MLcad and LPub3D to work. Quote
mocbuild101 Posted July 8, 2017 Author Posted July 8, 2017 (edited) I have finally got around to putting this on Rebrickable! I have been busy with building/testing my speedcar, and also have been trying out POV-Ray (with mixed results). So expect some renders and more photos soon! And don't forget to upload your fan photos to Rebrickable if you build it! Edited July 8, 2017 by mocbuild101 Quote
MattL600 Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Woah! If only I had a buggy Motor! This is great! Quote
mocbuild101 Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 Here is the POV-Ray render that I promised: I think it could be better, but I'm still learning how to use POV-Ray... But as a bonus, I also created a 3D animation: (I don't know why the PF receiver top is transparent though...) Thanks to @BusterHaus for the explanation on how to make it: Quote
