Capybaras (adult and baby) please.

i didn’t think red pandas would ever exist and tapirs and anteaters both exist in Playmobil so I’m going to sulk if they don’t happen!

I also want the return of the toucan. Amazon Adventurers reboot please!

Updated macaw, sloth, jaguar. Maybe a capybara? I think tapirs and anteaters are very unlikely to ever show up, but the others have been made in Duplo/Friends/Disney styles

[in a very quiet voice so as not to draw attention] I quite like the minidoll version of the capybara and think it works reasonably well. Same with giraffe.

I hear you. And I don’t disagree. Which also makes me wonder why they didn’t bite the bullet at some point and make moulds / prints that really worked across both.

I’m also keen to see a toucan recolour - and really thought they’d have done that with the Encanto sets.

I think red pandas are in the same ‘group’ as koalas, sloths, capybaras, ring tailed lemurs, meerkats - which is that they have a general popularity in popular culture. They’re crowd pleasers, which makes them popular in zoos and animal parks, and very merchadise-able.

That’s why I think we will see them but unlikely to see less glamorous or positively-PRed cousins

I hope you aren’t calling tapirs unglamorous!

Not at all. I am a friend to aaaaaaaall nature!

Just that some species appeal to the great unwashed is greater than others.

On the specific issue of tapirs though - Lego has an appalling record in giving us any ungulates. What do we have? Elusive camel, elephants, and a stag; then the domesticated crew 🐄🐑🐖🐐🐎**. In any logical world I’d think tapirs would have to be behind bison, moose, giraffe, zebra, donkeys, rhino, hippos and probably antelope and llama on the missing ungulates list.

** dolphins and orca are technically ungulates, but they are such outliers they don’t reeeeeeally count.

Yeah but unlike all those big ungulates you list, a tapir could nicely fit in a CMF package. Now if only Lego had an idea to make some sort of Animal Themed Minifigure Series, wouldn’t that big a great idea? 🤔🙄😭

We can only dream of such an announcement

I do not fully understand the leak, but it seems there are coming a big "family tree" or some such set with a Santa sled with one deer (probably the one we already have):shrug_oh_well:

What if you don’t have Santa in your family tree? I’m confused.

I had been waiting to get some gorillas 🦍 but was reluctant to spend big to buy the set with a helicopter I didn’t really need. However, on Pick a Brick all the baby gorillas were never in stock and now they don’t appear to be available at all!

I have therefore caved and bought the set at a reduced cost from a certain delivery service (I know I’m a terrible person), so tomorrow I will finally be a proud gorilla Dad. Just a warning to anyone else as I don’t know how long the set will be available. Personally I hope the gorillas will return one day but they may end up like the camels never to be seen again!

I still have a random bunch of spare gorilla arms. Gonna put them in a vault.

I’m confused when I read this..  i think “family” means to be a community as a family? Also, how comes it relates to animals?

I can only surmise that it’s something along the lines of the sets they already released as ‘family tree’ and ‘ travel map’, but this one has a Christmas theme - in an effort to make it a kinda Christmas tradition set … who knows

I know this is off topic but the leak said there would be an elf with green knight helmet and new shield. It doens’t sound like “family” to me. Anyways, i am wondering what kind of animal would be included din that set since we are talking about it here?

Thank you! I dind’t see Roebuck’s post somewhere here. I think it might be a same color as the sleigh set’s deers in 2021.  Unless, there might be new printing or different shade of that color.

LMG is reporting there is likely no explorer subtheme for City next summer. Truly we are in dark times.

Now that's something I'm shocked about and I have to see to believe. First they stop oversaturating the theme with police and now they are doing away with explorers?

Thanks for the news! :classic:

A regular, unlicensed CMF series in 2026 sounds great! Hopefully we'll get a new food costume and a musician with a new moulded musical instrument.

I personally want a minecart costume figure, let me recreate a Donkey Kong level dangit!
