The Wolf was a Mardier privateer captured by the Eslandola ship La Salamandra in the January MRCA. A fine brigantine, the Wolf was subsequently purchased at auction by Willem Guilder of Eslandola. After some refitting, the Wolf is ready to join the defense of Eslandola’s colonies against Mardier.

The ship is appropriately named, as a look at the figurehead will confirm.

The crew is busy readying the guns for action.

Captain Merker is happy to be back at sea after he lost the class 2A Lady’s Revenge in action against pirates.

This is a rebuild of a ship I initially built more than 15 years ago. It was not up to my current build preferences, but its size and sail plan were perfect for a class 3A ship, so I modified it extensively. Unfortunately, working with that constraint, the ships rides too high, the sides have no tumblehome, and the cabin looks a bit out of place. Furthermore, I fear she has lost a bit of the charm and character the original had. At some point I will start from scratch and build a similar vessel for another 3A, but for now this will have to do to get her into the game.

As always, all C&C welcome.

That ship is also nice (although I prefer the previous one  ). If I had to comment on something here is that the stern seems a bit off on the back side (I mean it looks like it is hanging and not being a part of the hull itself. I would prefer it slightly inwards that is). Still the atmosphere of your ships is just spot on hardcore 90s!!!

I love the classical Lego appearance of this ship, fantastic!

Thanks! I think my mistake in trying to update it was that I got a little farther away from that classic '90s feel than I should have.

Thanks. And I agree about the stern.

I may have to do a few more ships that are in the retro '90s style. I've spent so much time focusing on more realistic ships that I miss the charm of those '90s ships.

I like the classic style of this one. It looks like a little brother to the Skull's Eye Schooner. And those custom guns are very size-appropriate. Perhaps the stern is a bit far back, but it still looks good overall.
