Some people display the collectable minifigures as sold, and I genuinely think that's cool. But I prefer to MOC (or should that be mod?) my minifigures.

No, it's Kre-o. Specifically, it's Zape the Ape from Kre-o's Cityville Skyscraper Mayhem set. The set was hugely discounted at a store near me.

I wanted a scary bigfig gorilla to terrify my banana guy. LEGO does Gorilla Grodd ( http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=131682#T=I ) but he doesn't look threatening enough for my liking, so I went with a non-LEGO alternative.

Two of the devilkins and the two animals in my pictures above are purist. The rest have some impurity.
