Nice job on this, the new panels work really well in the back. If you're planning a second version, place the steering motor directly on the axle to prevent suspension twist during steering.

There is no video.

But cool

Thanks! Fixed the missing video.

Thanks for your feedback! When finished the LDD file will see what I can do :)

Okay, this is a cool build, well done!!! It seems a little to be "to high on its wheel", but somehow that adds to the model, it makes it more impressive...!

Psst, don't say this to anyone, this is a failed crawler...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while examining your LDD-file I noticed that the max steering angle is only 15 degrees. Also the pivot point offset that you are using actually results in the opposite of Ackermann steering. It would be more realistic when the steering arms were placed behind the wheel axles or when the pivot point offset would be the opposite of what you are using now.

In saying that, I do not wish to take anything away from the pleasure anyone could have from this 4x4. And it looks great too!

Kind regards,

Diederik

You are completely correct, it takes a lot of space to it for a turn, that has two reasons:
  1. I wanted to have all electric components in the chassis, not on the axles and because of that placement I had to put the steering arms in front :sceptic:
  2. I'm very bad at steering mechanisms that are more comlplex than steering rack and no drive :look:

Thanks for your feedback !

I'll try to make better my next MOC :classic:

EDIT:just noticed that exactly one year ago I made an account here on EB!
