If we're keeping this thread clean then why hasn't this message been sent to me in PM? But since you've made it public I feel the need to justify myself to everyone.

1. I never said luca deserves this thread any less because he doesn't post here.

2. I never said luca wasn't welcome here.

3. I was acknowledging that luca hasn't posted here in a while to prevent some smart megablock pointing it out to me mockingly.

4. It isn't my intention to SPAM these boards. Yes I've wrote a few silly messages off topic, but I'm not alone. I've contributed seriously to a number of threads inside and outside my interest zone. Some of those threads have gone off way topic by others and nothing was said about it.

5. I wrote luca a song especially for this thread but it was deleted. The song may have been silly and similiar to a Christmas song, but the point is it was gift from my creativity and its the thought that counts. I was tying to be more original than repeating a variant of "Happy birthday".

If my posting is distrupting this board then I'll just cease posting... I'm not here to create disputes or conflicts. I just wish to entertain, discuss and share what I know.

mister_phes, totally agree. I thought it would be fun to talk to people here and it was but all of the sudden the people running this place got all strict for no absolute reason. I can easily find a forum to discuss LEGO but I thought Eurobricks would be the best of them all. Apparently if a mod doesn't like your opinion, they'll suspend you. :/

Guys, please!!!

Our friendly boards is here for people to discuss mainly Lego and other subjects. Its fun and enlightning to share/confront ideas, likes, dislikes, TLC's policies, sets...

If we tend to be strict these couple of days, its really not for no reasons. For the last time, we are all here mainly to discuss LEGO. Sometimes, and most of the times off-topics discussions are nice and appreciated (eg, sandcrawler, because we have no news about it...), or when it relates to Lego...

However off topic is way crossing the line when its discussions about sex, drugs... Gratuitous criticisms about other people's country, customs (...) is also way crossing the line.

Come on, we are all responsable adults here, can you guys cannot see the line????

I also object to your second criticism Wolf, we are NOT dictators, and we won't "suspend" a member because we don't like his/her opinion.

I maintain that this website is and will continue to be friendly, curteaous.

I'm telling its not fun at all to keep explaining these simple rules of life, really. For my part, I joined these forums to have great conversations with people from different backgrounds, cultures all enjoying the same passion: LEGO and definitly NOT to police these boards.

To the rest of you - I feel like deleting everything but the happy birthdays, but I won't - this is a good lesson. I think we're basically saying two things here:

- every member, no matter how many posts they have, deserves a happy birthday thread!! Every Eurobricks member is important, and it's a tradition by now.

- people are getting upset at mods for locking threads (just for the record, I haven't locked one ever), but they're simply locked because inappropriate content is shared. Keep in mind that this is a children's toy and whether or not we outnumber them on this forum, we are going to keep it clean. We seriously don't want to start another LUGNET or FBTB-like dictatorship here, just keep it safe for the kids visiting. Nobody's been banned AT ALL except David, and unlike some sites we could name, this is a premier spoiler site for LEGO. We let threads go off-topic and just get silly. We ask for very little, so please grant us what we do.
