Siegfried Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 How did we get off topic again? Oh yeah, raining on my wedding day's ironic! Thanks Sinner! :-P I live to serve. ;-)
oo7 Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Pleeeease real mud wrestling - it'll be a nice even contest - we were born within 8 days of each other! :-D Course I'd call it rugby and he'd call it American football :-X But then I'm a big rugby player - don't need no pwussy-pads or helmets! Well luckily for you I don't play football whether it be the American or European variant. :-P Rugby, however, is considered something a good deal different and is definitely not confused with what we call 'football' here in the states. ;-) This is quite amazing! A tied tie breaker! :-D Indeed! I think it's actually quite cool!
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 I always thought Rugby was a combination of both X-D . Ahem, the rules have been PMed to Capn' SlyOwl and oo7. Once both have varified that they can do this buildoff then we can begin it!
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 Excellent. Someone should really close this thread shouldn't they?
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 Thank you all for those who have participated! This thread is closed, and you will see some results pop up soon. I will post a new post, later, in this thread with updated information. Thank you :-) !
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 Okay, all. Both contestants had replied and the date has been set. Here we go: Rules:1) 72 hours to create an entry: This will be from Friday, November 16 to Sunday November 18 2) limited to having 75 pieces 2b) Less than 75, but 75 is the max number of pieces useable 3) Anything can be built, however, it must be within the pirate, armada, soldiers, guards, and islanders themes. 4) The entries will be posted in a new thread as Moc # 1 and Moc # 2. We will have 72 hours for voting. The 72 hours will begin at the time the thread is posted. 5) Pictures can be any size, but only up to 800 pixels wide. Cap'n SlyOwl has asked discerning minifigures. I said a minifigure counts as one piece (Hat, Head, Torso, Arms, Hands, Legs, Hip). If just the legs are used, they count as 1 piece (Hip, Leg, Leg). If just a head is used, it counts as one piece (Head). There we have it. This thread is now open to discussion relevant to this buildoff only. The title will be changed appropriately.
Opproperaar Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Sounds mighty interesting :-) Can't wait to see what they come up with ...
Col. Whipstick Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Glad to see we're off the subject of wenches... sure all 0.0 of our female members in the forum were getting uncomfortable :-P 75 pieces only? That's gonna be tight. Gentleman as always my vote is up for sale, if you'd like my band account number just let me know. X-D I really do think it's a shame that it's come to this and I am going to lay down my whipstick and let those of you who were voting just to maintain the tie know that if this happens again by God you'll be swinging on His Majesty's gallows! *skull*
Sir Dillon Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 75 pieces only? That's gonna be tight. Gentleman as always my vote is up for sale, if you'd like my band account number just let me know. X-D Your band has an account? Which band are you in? :-P
SlyOwl Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 (edited) Besides, why would I want? The only thing higher than gasoline prices in the U.S. is the divorice rate! ;-) What about obesity? :-D My creation's done now, but won't be shown until ImperialScouts posts it. Instead of a poll, couldn't each voter PM him their vote, so no-one can vote just to tie it? Or you could disable the 'show results' button until after they've posted. SlyOwl. ;-) Edited November 17, 2007 by Cap'n SlyOwl
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 What about obesity? :-D Good question.... I can't wait
Col. Whipstick Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Your band has an account? Which band are you in? :-P Do you really want to start on one character typos? Considering half the members aren't first language English speakers we'll be here all day. Yes you spotted 'band' as opposed to the intended 'bank'... well done, you clever thing you. Would you like a medal now?
Lord Of Pies Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Do you really want to start on one character typos? Considering half the members aren't first language English speakers we'll be here all day. Yes you spotted 'band' as opposed to the intended 'bank'... well done, you clever thing you. Would you like a medal now? Do I get a medal?! ;-) Anyway, 75 pieces, this sounds like a real challenge! May the best moc win!
Sir Dillon Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Do you really want to start on one character typos? Considering half the members aren't first language English speakers we'll be here all day. Yes you spotted 'band' as opposed to the intended 'bank'... well done, you clever thing you. Would you like a medal now? Yes, I am quite aware that there are many people who don't speak English as their native tongue. I do not normally point out typos, but I thought yours was funny. I'm sorry if I offended you, next time I shall try to keep my amusement to myself.
Scouty Posted November 18, 2007 Author Posted November 18, 2007 What about obesity? :-D My creation's done now, but won't be shown until ImperialScouts posts it. Instead of a poll, couldn't each voter PM him their vote, so no-one can vote just to tie it? Or you could disable the 'show results' button until after they've posted. SlyOwl. ;-) That would fill my inbox rather quickly X-D ! I don't think there is an option to not show results. I'll have t check that out 8-| .
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 18, 2007 Governor Posted November 18, 2007 So Mr Imperial Scouts, what's happening with your competition? Do you have anything to announce in regards to how you'll select a winner?
Scouty Posted November 18, 2007 Author Posted November 18, 2007 Cap'n SlyOwl has sent his entry in. I'm awaiting for oo7's entry. It'll be by poll, I guess. How would you propose to do it than by poll? I'll be posting a thread tomorrow for voting. Edit: oo7 has sent his entry in. We're ready for tomorrow!
Opproperaar Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Can't wait to see the creations really... 75 pieces wonder what they built with that.
Scouty Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 Thank you for the discussion. This thread will be closed now. YOU may see the POLL thread here!!
