Scouty Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Another thing that is frowned upon is using a large block of capitalised text. Not only is it highly annoying on a forum but it is also difficult to read and therefore has the opposite to it's intended effect. I.e. people ignore it completely. Excuse me, I just wanted to get it across. Edit: I re-formated it to just normal size. I seem to miss these threads you keep tossing at me.
ExoBuilder Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I voted for Sly owls. I like how his is a large easy to see one yet 007 is dark and small.
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 13, 2007 Governor Posted November 13, 2007 Excuse me, I just wanted to get it across. No you're excused because you were decreasing the legibility of the text rather than emphasising it. I already explained that.
Scouty Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 I'm not being sarcastic, please do excuse me for what I did.
Col. Whipstick Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 This is ridiculous. How long is this running for? I'd have thought we'd all voted by now and I can't see why it's so even steven when everyone claims to have voted for 007. Right gentlemen, pistols or swords? I'll see both of you at dawn with your respective seconds. X-D
gylman Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Actually, it's not ridiculous. They're very different but both are vexcellent and I suggest they are made co-winners.
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 13, 2007 Governor Posted November 13, 2007 Unfortunately co-winners don't work with our prizing scheme. Damn having prizes!
Col. Whipstick Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Unfortunately co-winners don't work with our prizing scheme. Damn having prizes! Well the meekest of prizes X-D For all our pirate lego we seem to be seriously lacking in gold and silver bars. Who's been embezzling all the funds then? This is exactly why us imperials can't trust those dirty thieving pirates and islanders on this forum :-P
Vader Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Just voted for Cap's moc, both are really great but i just loved the humour involved with his creation. The sight of seeing that poor horesman fleeing for his life is fantastic. 007 i love your island its so well put together, the roof is amazing. Ok so that's my very very rare visit done X-D
lukeiamyourfather Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 they both had 26 until i voted now cap's feast is in the lead. X-D
Opproperaar Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Seriously if this somehow ends up in a tie again, ah there can't be two kings, can there? X-D Why of course not! How shall we solve the problem if it turns out in yet another tie?
Lord Of Pies Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 (edited) This is getting ridiculous!! Perhaps if the poll ends in a tie their could be some sort of (lego building) show down!! X-O Edited November 14, 2007 by Lord Of Pies
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 13, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 13, 2007 Seriously if this somehow ends up in a tie again, ahthere can't be two kings, can there? X-D Why of course not! How shall we solve the problem if it turns out in yet another tie? Then one on the two will become Pirate Queen X-D
oo7 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 (edited) I voted for Sly owls. I like how his is a large easy to see one yet 007 is dark and small. Small, you say? Did you see the other pictures in the entry thread? I'm wondering because I believe mine is actually slightly bigger..... Actually, it's not ridiculous. They're very different but both are vexcellent and I suggest they are made co-winners. Unfortunately co-winners don't work with our prizing scheme. Damn having prizes! Perhaps we should alter our planning for the prizes to fit our situation in that case. Ok so that's my very very rare visit done X-D Oh, I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please come again! :-P there can't be two kings, can there? X-D Why of course not! How shall we solve the problem if it turns out in yet another tie? Actually, the ancient Spartans did indeed have two kings to rule their empire. X-D Edited November 13, 2007 by oo7
Vader Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Oh, I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please come again! Perhaps i will....
SlyOwl Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 (edited) Grrr! >:-) By my clock this poll should have ended, making it a draw at 27 - 27. As the prize is just a title, a new prize could be thought up... As for a showdown...uh...no. I'm currently building and typing with one hand as my left arm's numb from an injection. :'-). Anyway, I'm doing other projects at the moment so a draw would be ideal. In my opinion, each entry has its merits and deserves its own prize. One person's vote shouldn't seperate these two entries and so it should end in a tie (I guess I say this 'cos I don't want to lose but I don't want to discredit oo7. :-P) Who came third? How shall we solve the problem if it turns out in yet another tie? Why not? One king for a time. Then he abdicates to make way for the new king for a time. A peaceful transition of power from one benevolent dictator to another. Long live the king! The king is dead! Long live the king! etc etc
casewindu Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 My vote for oo7 seems to have put him in the lead, sorry Cap'n! :-$ *y* Both are VERY nice!
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 13, 2007 Governor Posted November 13, 2007 Perhaps we should alter our planning for the prizes to fit our situation in that case. No you two shall be pitted in a duel to the death - do you prefer pistols or sabres? X-D
Opproperaar Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Perhaps let them build another MOC? I like Bonaparte's suggestion though, we'll randomly draw who becomes the king's queen of the two :-D :-P :-D

You can figure it out yourself, if you want, but I wanted to announce all of the winners together in one winner thread, unfortunate for Mr. ThirdPlace X-D ! Though, the first prize is actually a bit more than a title ;-) ! The poll (according to my clock) should end tomorow at whatsoever time. Should there be a tie, the deadline will be extended, as I previously noted, and nobody seems to have noticed. It's rather unfortunate that two great entries should be pitted together. But I would like to see a resolve of this competition now, as I'm quite buzy :-) . So tomorrow is the day, when we will find out our King!
