Tanotrooper Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 No you two shall be pitted in a duel to the death - do you prefer pistols or sabres? X-D how about going blackadder style with cannons *sweet* then it is settled. Duel at dawn. TT I voted for Cap'n
john cleese Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'm pretty sure imperialscouts wasnt too far off the mark in accusing some people of voting just to make the poll even and this is partly due to the view results option, I guess. Anyway I see two options to choose our winner. A FFLMS (did I get that acronym right?) style showdown. The moc's should be bigger so there is more criteria to base them on. Or we could reopen the contest allowing more contestants to enter and see if somebody comes up with something better.

Or we could reopen the contest allowing more contestants to enter and see if somebody comes up with something better. People are definately doing this just to be awkward... It would be unfair to both of the contestants to re open the contest. Perhaps a showdown will be necessary with a deadline of only a couple days for the MOC's so we can really nip this in the bud, either that or we just say it's tied - end of story. It's already half way through November - far too late to still be on this Holloween business.
Opproperaar Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I tend to agree, let them build something random (which has to be pirate related of course) of a predetermined size within a week and there would be two days of voting. And if not that, one of the two will be queen! :-)
Hinckley Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I agree. It's mud wrestling time. I mean... 8-| build-off. Time for a build off. :-$
Scouty Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 The appropriate papers are being processed and the terms will be announced when the terms are approved. :-) This is ridiculous. The poll is closed as of this post. Tied at 29/29
Lord Of Pies Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 So their is going to be a build off, like I suggested, cool! Both entries are great and both deserve to win, [corny game show host voice]Their can only be one winner![/corny game show host voice]
SlyOwl Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I agree. It's mud wrestling time. Pleeeease real mud wrestling - it'll be a nice even contest - we were born within 8 days of each other! :-D Course I'd call it rugby and he'd call it American football :-X But then I'm a big rugby player - don't need no pwussy-pads or helmets! The appropriate papers are being processed and the terms will be announced when the terms are approved. Terms? What terms? Are there some terms and conditions I should read? Someting like... In the event of a tie, a poll lasting for 3 days will take place to decide the winner. If the votes are even after this period, a build-off lasting one week will happen and a poll to decide the victor. 'Fraid I can't do a build-off too many projects on the go...but then again if he'll win by default, I might muster something... :-/
Scouty Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Just a simple little build. You and oo7 should get a pm soon :-) !
Siegfried Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 This is quite amazing! A tied tie breaker! :-D
SirNadroj Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 This is quite amazing! A tied tie breaker! :-D Now that's what you call ironic, right there! *wacko*
Siegfried Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Now that's what you call ironic, right there! *wacko* You're confusing that with rain on your wedding day... ;-)
SirNadroj Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 You're confusing that with rain on your wedding day... ;-) Wedding day? How am I possibly gonna find a woman who likes LEGO? ;-)
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 Going out and looking for one is probably a good starting point... But don't do a Captain Starwind...
SirNadroj Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Going out and looking for one is probably a good starting point...But don't do a Captain Starwind... What's that?
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 He left the forum to find a wench and never returned...
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 :-( . Poor Mr. Starwind Well, the rules are almost done and we'll see how free Cap'n SlyOwl and oo7 are in their time. Who red bolded my closing statement?
SirNadroj Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 He left the forum to find a wench and never returned... If I went to find a wench, it'd be illegal to marry her at my age! :-D But I guess pirates do as they please! Besides, why would I want? The only thing higher than gasoline prices in the U.S. is the divorice rate! ;-)
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 Who red bolded my closing statement? MEEEEEE!!! X-D If I went to find a wench, it'd be illegal to marry her at my age! :-D Besides, why would I want? You don't have to marry the first wench you find.
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 MEEEEEE!!! X-D Especially after my ordeal a page or two back, you're too kind X-D !!!
SirNadroj Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 You don't have to marry the first wench you find. But wouldn't that be sweet? *sweet* I don't understand the youth of today and their 'boyfriend/girlfriend' thing and how they waste money on eachother and then they either break up or get married then divorced. How did we get off topic again? Oh yeah, raining on my wedding day's ironic! Thanks Sinner! :-P
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 Especially after my ordeal a page or two back, you're too kind X-D !!! There is a wrong way and a right way to use large bold red letters. I've created a thread elsewhere to discuss this.
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 I understand how to use it, thank you very much!!
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2007 Governor Posted November 15, 2007 Don't worry there's also some notes on using underlined text in that thread as well.
Scouty Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 Whatever are you talking about underlined text?? Mine is bolded X-D .
