Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I know you can do axles with positive caster and camber, but I wanted to know if it was possible to make a driven axle with positive caster and/or camber angle. I have made multiple attempts but cannot seem to make it work. Thanks for your help! Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 First give us more info, what kind of suspension you want? Independent or solid axle? Also what wheel size? And finally what kind of application/torque, you need a powerfull offroad axle, or a compact fast one? Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Sorry, I should have been more descriptive, so here are some more specifics: independent suspension, driven and steered, for a crawler using the 44772 wheels. Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 I was sitting in my workspace(bedroom) yesterday, just messing around with parts, and I found a solution. It's a little stubborn at times, but it works reasonably well. Quote
tibivi Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) I made this one some years ago and posted it here in the axle thread, maybe you can look over there for inspiration. http://www.flickr.co...336353/sizes/c/ it has double wishbone setup, caster, kingpin inclination, ackermann steering, i think it had some negative camber and it's driven. Backside is that you have only one stud axle for the wheels happy building :) Edited February 11, 2016 by tibivi Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 My solution has the same problem: one stud axle for the wheel. Thanks for the design, I forgot about the axle thread, so I'll go look at that. Quote
